What’s special about this resort
A common complaint that you might hear about resort food is that it can get repetitive. Rest assured that won’t be the case at Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya, which boasts a diverse selection of food and drinks among eight specialty restaurants and 11 bars. That’s not including the delicious taco, churro, and crepe carts you can find near the pool and beach!
This adults-only resort is a secluded haven that has the best combination of beach, nature, food, and entertainment.
With the all-inclusive package, guests enjoy unlimited dining at over 20 restaurants and bars. Many amenities are also included, such as three swimming pools, a fitness center, a game room, and tennis courts. Daily activities and nightly entertainment are part of the package as well.

What to do
Take a leisurely stroll along the beach or go for a refreshing swim. There’s a small rocky area where you can go snorkeling and catch glimpses of colorful fish and other sea life. Of course, you can always just work on your tan from the comfort of a padded lounger while amazing waitstaff bring you tropical drink after tropical drink.
There’s plenty of space to soak up the sun at the massive pool, where a live DJ keeps the energy high and poolside bartenders keep the drinks flowing. Elevate your dance moves by taking a Latin dance class. Fancy a little trip outside the resort? Join the bike tour and explore the nearby Mayan jungles.
Evenings at the resort are all about excitement and color. Catch everything from traditional Mexican folklore, and Mayan shows to dazzling fire and burlesque shows.
What to eat
Tantalize your taste buds at Taman Sari, where you’ll be served the best dishes from Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand. For a live cooking show, grab a teppanyaki table at Ginger. Celebrating a honeymoon or anniversary? L’Alsace is a romantic Parisian restaurant that serves delicious French cuisine under shimmering chandelier lights.
How about a comforting Mexican or Italian meal after a long day of excursions? The resort has you covered with the finest local ingredients at La Hacienda and handmade pasta at L’Olivo.
Le Marche is the open air international buffet that has everything you could want for a day of grazing – from fresh fruits and juices to cooking stations ready to prepare hot dishes for you. For a light lunch, visit the salad bar at Tierra and load up on vegetables, dressings, and cheeses.
In addition to the specialty restaurants and daytime restaurants, the resort boasts 11 bars and three snack carts. Stop by the churro or crepe carts for a sweet treat.
Room Guide
Rooms at the Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya conserve the property’s grand hacienda-style theme. Each of them has a spacious terrace or balcony, a hydromassage bathtub, and smart TV. The different room categories don’t vary greatly in size but do offer different layouts and views.
Deluxe Junior Suites: At about 516 square feet, the Deluxe category is the smallest available, with its sitting area just in front of one king-sized or two double beds. There’s a hydromassage tub big enough for one person, and the balcony or terrace faces the resort or gardens.
Silver & Golden Junior Suites: These rooms are newly renovated and offer additional space, with a total of 656 square feet. The living area is a bit larger and beside the balcony door. Silver Junior Suites offer king beds only, while the Golden variety can have a king or two doubles. Golden Junior Suites also come in Swim-Up and Superior (top floor) versions.
Emerald Junior Suites: Interestingly, the top category comes in slightly smaller in size at 624 square feet but makes up for it elsewhere. High-end Caribbean accent decor and ocean views make the atmosphere in these even more upscale. Rooms are also equipped with luxurious technology like motorized blinds, thermostatic rain showers, mobile phone key systems, and more. Booking this category also gets you a complimentary bottle of liquor.
Special Experiences
Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya does an especially great job of offering a number of experiences for guests who want to be active on their trip. Besides land and water sports, you can try new things like Latin dance lessons or aqua Zumba at the resort. If you’d rather not partake, there are frequent pool performances in the water to watch.
There’s also a fun bike tour of the property led by the animation team for guests who want to learn about the colorful flora and fauna of the Riviera Maya. Games like pool volleyball are arranged daily as well.
In the evening, you can take part in a Mexican theme night with folklore performances and Mariachi music. There’s also a highly-acclaimed tequila tasting experience – when in Rome…
