What to do
Experience a one-of-a-kind self growth journey with the Architects of Life program. An in-house shaman will lead you through a variety of activities such as therapeutic yoga, gratitude rituals, sound healing, and more (over 20 rotating activities are offered).
As important as connecting with yourself is, you still need to connect with your community. The perfect spot to do that is at the Eolo Beach Club, where a live DJ plays tribal beats and guests huddle around fire pits enjoying good drinks and each other’s company.
Whether you hike the nature trail or rent a complimentary bike or paddle board, the lush jungle and open sea are yours to explore. Your kids will also love the fun activities that combine nature and creativity for a wholesome educational experience.
Evening entertainment is low key and relaxing. You might catch a soothing guitar duo or a mesmerizing flamenco dance performance.
What to eat
When you think of vegan or plant-based foods, images of ancient grains and hummus might come to mind. But the chefs at The House of AïA bring a lot more creativity to the table (literally!).
Choose between four a la carte restaurants specializing in everything from Mexican to Asian cuisines. Su Casa is the main restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Enjoy pizza, salads, nachos… made with special ingredients like vegan cheese and gluten-free doughs. The resort is heaven sent for allergy-sensitive guests.
For those looking for alternative sources of protein, a small variety of seafood and meats are also available. You can even enjoy a juicy burger or steak at the Mar De Olivo restaurant or tasty carne asada tacos from the beachfront taco truck.
Sip on beautifully garnished drinks at the resort bars or stay on the wellness train and opt for kombuchas and coconut waters.
Room Guide
Palmaïa is proud to keep all 234 of its suites cruelty-free, with no animal or animal-tested products used at all. That includes no use of leather and no feathers in pillows. Bright and modern, these rooms capitalize on views and wellness.
Ocean-Front Suites: These rooms have direct views over the sparkling ocean and the mesmerizing sunrises that take place over it daily. The sitting area seamlessly transitions to a large, furnished balcony to enjoy it all from. Rooms come with one king or two queen beds, and a luxury bathtub option is available with the former.
Swim-Out Suites: While the views are still pretty great, these rooms’ ground-floor terraces also allow guests to dive right into the infinity pools of the resort. The same bedding as above is available, plus the option to make it a Family Master Suite.
Family & Meditation Suites: More like sub-categories, these are special versions of the two main room types. The Family version adds an adjoining room with standard or fun bunk beds. Meditation Suites add a separate, secluded space for yoga, other meditation, or other daily practices you might want to do.
Special Experiences
It seems like every stay at Palmaïa is a special experience due to its focus on wellness, rejuvenation, and health which is distinct from other resorts. With holistic spa therapies, plant-based and health-focused dining, and ritualistic practices, there’s an abundance of things to do here that you’ve probably never tried before.
One way to try something new is to see what visiting guides are coming to the resort. Wellness experts from all over the world come to offer their take on practices like ice baths, breathwork, Mayan cacao ceremonies, and much more. Frankly, we’ve never heard of many of them – but they sure sound interesting for any curious vacationers!
Children aren’t necessarily left out of all these traditions, either. Palmaïa definitely recognizes a need to include children in such things. The resort offers what others would probably call a kids club, but as you can imagine, they don’t – The Great Indoors is a place for children to disconnect, explore, experiment with their environment, and meet others.
