Explore the extraordinary underwater world with snorkeling tours where you’ll be sure to see colorful coral and a myriad of tropical sea creatures that make their home here at Cozumel’s world renowned reef.
You can also learn how to dive. Diving classes require reservations through the hotel. The resort’s certified instructors can help pros and newbies alike in discovering Cozumel’s renowned dive sites.
Pamper your body and mind at the spa, which offers a relaxing range of treatments, and packages including body wraps, massages, aromatherapy, and even a steam room. While access to the spa is free, there is an extra charge for treatments.
Check out the Mayan ruins. Rent a scooter or car and take a trip back in time. San Gervasio in the north and El Cedral in the south of Cozumel are ruins that let you learn about Mayan culture and architecture. San Gervasio is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and archaeological site with nine temples. It’s also part of a larger wildlife sanctuary, home to a number of exotic animals.
What to Eat and Drink
When it comes to wining and dining, The Explorean boasts a number of culinary experiences and options elevated by local ingredients and the hotel’s commitment to creativity and quality food.
Start your day with a coffee and juice delivered room side each morning. Meals are crafted with local ingredients collected by the chef each day at one of the island’s local markets. Expect the unexpected with the “spontaneous kitchen” concept or made to order meals. If you’re feeling hungry in between the usual meal times, call reception, and they’ll have the chef whip you up something special to satisfy you.
There’s also a special kids’ menu and alternative options for dietary restrictions.
Lool Kan
The resort’s main restaurant, Lool Kan is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Using fresh, authentic ingredients, Lool Kan aims to create a one-of-kind dining experience that may appeal to even the pickiest of eaters.
Lool Kan is a casual dining spot with a focus on local flavors that explore the breadth of Mexican cooking. Dinner is usually a set menu. The restaurant itself overlooks the hotel’s swimming pool and has a stylish indoors/outdoors vibe with an exposed interior and a roof providing cover from the elements. Three meals a day are served here, with the option for extra meals and snacks.
Lool Kan is open every day from 7 am to 10 pm.
Lobby Bar
Unwind with a mezcal infused cocktail, craft beer, or any other drink you can dream up. The Lobby Bar has all the mixes and fixes to make your own cocktail. Think glassware, ice, and top-shelf liquor. Located next to the Lobby and pool, the Lobby Bar is convenient and innovative in its self-serve concept.
Lobby bar is open every day from 11 am to 10 pm.
