Iberostar Grand Rose Hall

What’s Special About This Resort

The Iberostar Grand Rose Hall is a large all-inclusive resort in Montego Bay, just a short drive from the bustling city. It is located about 25 minutes from the airport on a more private stretch of beach. This gorgeous property has so much to offer, but it really shines in its customer service and above and beyond cleanliness, well-maintained rooms, and pristine beach and pool areas.

Many guest reviews mention the concierge staff as a huge selling point for the resort, naming several specific employees who go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, memorable, and like the paradise you hoped for.

Their nightly entertainment also leaves quite an impression, offering world-class musicians. It’s a great way to let loose. While this vibrant nightlife is great for some, it isn’t as desirable for those looking for a quiet, restorative vacation experience. Overall, we find the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall resort to be exceptional and generally well-rounded – we would certainly recommend it for your next all-inclusive vacation.

Five à la carte restaurants, in addition to a buffet, minibar restocked daily, snacks in the room, 24-hour room service, use of a personal butler (only included with certain rooms), a dizzying selection of wines, access to the exclusive, adults-only swimming pools, use of the Balinese beds free of charge (subject to availability) and more. The resort also offers an unlimited golf package, which includes unlimited rounds of golf, transfers to and from the golf course, a golf cart, and use of the practice area.

Sandals South Coast

What’s Special About This Resort

Sandals resorts offer perfectly manicured properties with curated experiences, making you feel fantastically far from reality. The Sandals South Coast all-inclusive resort is no exception, offering countless screensaver-worthy views from the suites, miles of beach, and European-style architecture that is a vision of paradise.

In addition to the beautiful setting, the resort also goes above and beyond in terms of activities. Sandals South Coast Resort offers more all-inclusive water sports than any on our list, like the usual kayaks, paddle boards, hobie cats, plus snorkeling from glass bottom boats, and windsurfing.

Your stay at Sandals also includes a handful of premium experiences like scuba diving or motorized water sports like wakeboarding, knee boarding, and waterskiing, which is extremely rare for an all-inclusive resort. Board games, yard games, and a selection of sports like sand volleyball are also available to keep you all busy and occupied.

The Sandals company is a bit of a mammoth, which allows them to provide a lot of amenities that other resorts simply can’t. However, the size and culture of the Sandals brand does lead to a bit of an insulated vacation experience – if you’re looking to explore the city and step into the Jamaican way of life, this probably isn’t the best resort for you.

5-star breakfast, lunch, and dinner, unlimited drinks, stocked bars in every room, premium liquors, golf, comprehensive scuba programs, water sports, entertainment, butler service, Roundtrip Airport Transfers, Wifi throughout the resort, and gratuity are all included in your stay.

Highest Level of Service
Bluefields Bay Villas, Jamaica

What’s Special About This Resort

Located on the southwestern side of the Jamaican island, the Bluefields Bay Villas all-inclusive resort gives you a front-row seat to some of the most spectacular sunsets on earth. The resort is the epitome of privacy, with its own private pool, beach, deck, and more. The villa feels less like a villa and more like a Georgian estate.

Despite the large unit sizes, this resort is comparatively small for a Jamaican all-inclusive. The guest experience seems to benefit from its boutique size, as you have a surplus of attentive staff for whatever you may want or need. Your stay comes with a butler service and a personal chef for your individual villa.

There is very little to complain about when it comes to the Bluefields Bay Villas, but there are a few things worth noting. The private beach is not a sandy beach but a rocky one, so water shoes are a must. Additionally, while it is suitable enough for children, families with kids may have a better experience at a larger resort with more kid-specific activities to offer.

A private pool, 3 meals/day, an open bar, use of a butler, private chef, housekeeper, seaside staff, child/adult care (up to 9 hours/day), resort-wide wi-fi, use of sea kayaks, sailboat, hydrobikes, standup paddle boards, snorkel gear, tennis court, staffed seaside lounging areas, airport services (4-night minimum), and complimentary laundry services are all included with the price of your stay.

Moon Palace Jamaica

What’s Special About This Resort

The Moon Palace Jamaica is a sleek, modern, all-inclusive resort that is just as appealing to families as it is to adults looking to let loose. Don’t let the decadent decor and marble floors mislead you – this resort is all about fun for everyone in the family.

While the beach area seems a bit small and basic compared to others on our list, the resort more than makes up for it with a laundry list of ways to have fun on the water. The Moon Palace Jamaica offers the typical inclusions of non-motorized water sports equipment like kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling gear, and more. For kids who might be tired of the beach, the resort provides plenty of other avenues for entertainment, like an arcade, a surf simulator, a splash pad, a waterslide, and more.

Kids aren’t the only ones having fun, either. The resort is home to a vibrant nightclub where vacationers can dance, socialize, and let loose. While most guest reviews rave about the Noor Nightclub, some guest reviews complain about high noise levels from music and neighboring properties – something to keep in mind if you are in the market for a relaxing getaway.

Fine dining, premium drinks, in-room minibar stocked with premium liquors, famous-brand beers, and a variety of mixers, 24-hour room service, world-class nightly entertainment, access to resort pools and beaches, poolside/oceanside service, and use of kayaks, paddle boards, and a surf simulator are all included in the price of your stay.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall

What’s Special About This Resort

The Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall all-inclusive resort is another sprawling, stunning resort nestled in Montego Bay. Here you get all the perks of being in the city without having to sacrifice all the natural beauty the bay has to offer. One of our favorite things about this resort is its private beach that stretches nearly a mile with secluded coves to explore and swim. For those looking to spend their vacation in the water, this wouldn’t be a bad place to do it.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall doesn’t disappoint when it comes to entertainment, either. Dancing classes, poolside concerts, and a calendar full of unique shows are offered to captivate and entertain guests. Additionally, there is a piano bar at the resort, playing tranquil live piano nightly, as well as another bar that hosts nightly DJ sets that go well into the morning for days you wish would never end.

We highly recommend this resort if you’re looking for a vibrant vacation, but it may not be the place for you if you’re looking for a restorative experience. Some guest reviews have complained about noise from the live music and on site entertainment.

Your stay at the Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall resort comes with unlimited use of pools, use of oceanside fire pits, unlimited dining, endless drinks, 7 restaurants, bars and lounges, premium top-shelf wines and liquors, oceanfront dining, access to a world-class fitness center, a minibar restocked daily, 24-hour in-suite dining, resort-wide wi-fi, bathrobes, slippers, non-motorized water sports, water games, aqua aerobics, live entertainment, as well as full access to sister resort Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall.

The Secrets St James all-inclusive resort is all about relaxation and romance, with panoramic ocean views and no shortage of spots to park yourself with your honey or a good book. The gorgeous stretch of beach, the infinity pool with an ocean view, and your own private balcony are just a few of the dream-like settings this resort has to offer your romantic getaway.

If you should tire of lounging at any point during your stay, there is no shortage of activities to keep yourself occupied. Activities like guided snorkeling, stand up paddleboarding, windsurfing, kayaking, and even scuba lessons are included in the price of your stay. If you’ve had enough time in the water, there are also bicycle tours, cooking classes, dance classes, trails, and so much more. At Secret St James, you can stay as busy as you want to be.

While Secrets St James isn’t short on amenities, the resort is conveniently located right next door to its sister property, the Secret Wild Orchid, where you’re able to utilize quite a few of their amenities as well. All in all, we highly recommend this resort as an option for your romantic getaway.

Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay

What’s Special About This Resort

The Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay is another luxury all-inclusive resort in Jamaica, offering lavish accommodations and amenities for travelers. The property has a number of beautiful pools, tennis courts, and a theater that offers world-class entertainment.

For those looking for some quality beach time, the Secrets Wild Orchid Resort offers a number of water sports and, of course, loungers and umbrellas. The resort is located right next door to its sister property, the Secret St. James, where you’re able to utilize quite a few of their amenities as well.

While overall, the Secrets St. James offers some great perks, there were also some obvious issues with the resort. Most of the negative guest reviews point to a general lack of staff to accommodate everyone at this large resort. Expect wait times for dining, room service, and other requests. Additionally, many comments have been made about the food, that it is average at best and reminiscent of cafeteria food.

Unlimited dining, unlimited drinks, resort-wide wi-fi, and access to sprawling resort facilities like the four pools, the tennis court, the multipurpose court, and an open-air theater with live events and shows. The resort also offers guided snorkeling, stand up paddleboards, windsurfing, kayaks, intro to scuba lessons, bicycle tours, cooking and dance classes, a jogging trail, and more.

Most Unique Stay
Sunset at the Palms

What’s Special About This Resort

The Sunset at the Palms all-inclusive resort is a uniquely stunning property, featuring a bungalow aesthetic and cozy vibes in all its facilities. Helping with that cozy feel is the remarkably small resort size with just 84 rooms total. While this offers guests more privacy and better customer service than some of the larger resorts on our list, it also means some of the amenities are a bit lacking in comparison.

For instance, there’s only one pool on the property, and it’s rather small and definitely isn’t anything to write home about. The resort also has limited offerings in terms of activities – water sports equipment is not available for guest use, and you are basically limited to the beach, spa, and fitness center. That being said, they do have a couple of unique offerings, like a cooking class or a mixologist class.

All in all, we recommend this resort for vacationers looking for a quiet, cozy getaway. While their offerings may not have the pristine packaging of other resorts on this list, the Sunset at the Palms resort offers a charming “beach bum” lifestyle for the duration of your stay.

A private balcony, complimentary meals with a choice of buffet dining, beach grill and a la carte restaurants, beverages and cocktails with premium bar offerings, use of the fitness center featuring Cybex equipment, live reggae music several evenings each week, complimentary wi-fi, and gratuity are all included in your stay at Sunset at the Palms.

Feel Like Getting Out of the Resort – Vibrant Culture & Natural Beauty of Jamaica

With a rich and dynamic culture, Jamaica is a coalescence of African, European, and Caribbean influences, making it a distinctive destination that draws in over one million tourists annually.

Most associate Jamaica with its screen-saver-worthy views, vibrant art, reggae music, and a utopian, anti-establishment ideology and many travel here to experience a slower way of living. The music, food, Rastafarian culture, art, and breathtaking natural beauty all make for a unique and memorable vacation experience.

Venture Out of the Resort

Montego Bay

Most resorts on our list, like the Hilton Rose Hall Jamaica or S Hotel Jamaica, are situated in or around Montego Bay, famous for its stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife. As Jamaica’s top tourist destination, there are many things to do and see, like iconic Jamaican golf courses, shops at the Hip Strip, and of course, an overwhelming amount of natural beauty to take in.

Just offshore, you can also find snorkeling and diving adventures at the Montego Bay Marine Park, an underwater national park. We highly recommend checking this part of the island out if you’re looking for things to do and see. Some noteworthy attractions:

Rose Hall Great House

  • The Rose Hall Great House is a historic and allegedly haunted estate. The gorgeous, sprawling, restored 18th-century property hosts daytime garden tours as well as ghost tours after dark.
All Inclusive Resorts In Jamaica Rose Hall

Samuel Sharpe Square

  • For history buffs and activists alike, the Samuel Sharpe Square is a monument to a British abolitionist surrounded by cobbled streets & painted houses.

Rastafari Indigenous Village

  • Just outside the city is the Rastafari Indigenous Village which hosts intimate tours and life-changing retreats. The community welcomes guests who are interested in learning more about the nature-based Rastafari way of life. Tours and retreats are by reservation only.

Negril

Another popular destination on the Jamaican island is Negril, a quieter area known for its 7-Mile Beach, gorgeous sunsets, and laid-back atmosphere. Home to resorts like the Sunset at the Palms, this is the best place on the island to achieve a restorative vacation experience with 24/7 serenity. Although it’s a bit of a drive from the international airport, the quiet tranquility of this pristine stretch of beach is well worth the extra miles.

Water Activities

  • While this part of the island lends itself to relaxation, you can still get pretty busy on the water. Negril is home to the iconic Seven Mile Beach, with its pristine white sands, calm waters, and a laid-back atmosphere. These crystal clear beaches of Negril are perfect for water sports like snorkeling, scuba diving, parasailing, and paddleboarding.
All Inclusive Resorts In Jamaica Water Activities

Nature and Ecotourism

  • Negril, perhaps more so than other parts of the island, is known and sought out for its stunning natural beauty. We highly recommend excursions to places like Mayfield Falls, Royal Palm Reserve, or even just snorkeling in the area’s coral reefs to see the vibrant marine life and underwater landscapes.

Ocho Rios

Ocho Rios also draws a good bit of tourism both for its distinct natural features and a few family-friendly theme parks. While this part of Jamaica may not be as rich in culture or as lively in the nightlife, it is a great destination for families and vacationers who prefer to stay active and on the move.

Waterfall Hikes

  • Hiking is a perfect way to explore what the island has to offer outside the resort. We highly recommend checking out Dunn’s River Falls, an idyllic, climbable waterfall that draws crowds during peak season, or perhaps a shorter trip through Turtle River Falls and Gardens.

Green Grotto Caves

  • Ocho Rios is also home to the Green Grotto Caves, where you can tour a network of underground caves and learn about their rich history.
All Inclusive Resorts In Jamaica Green Grotto Caves

Fern Gully

  • For something a little easier going, check out the Fern Gully, a picturesque rainforest road lined with over 500 varieties of ferns and other lush greenery.

Theme Parks

  • For kids and families looking for a little adrenaline spike, the nearby theme park, “Mystic Mountain,” features a bobsled ride, ziplines, and a sky explorer chairlift with panoramic views of Ocho Rios. Also close by is Dolphin Cove, an interactive marine park where you can swim with dolphins and learn about the local marine life.

Kingston

While Kingston isn’t as much of a tourist hotspot in terms of pristine beach destinations, the vibrant city is certainly worth a day trip. If you’re looking for an authentic Jamaican experience and a bit more immersion into the culture, Kingston is the place to be. This capital city has a rich cultural scene featuring historic landmarks, museums, and more.

All Inclusive Resorts In Jamaica Kingston

Bob Marley Museum

  • Bob Marley is Jamaica’s ultimate hometown hero, so the Bob Marley Museum is a must-visit for fans of the legendary reggae musician. The museum features memorabilia from his career, interactive exhibits, and even live performances from time to time.

Devon House

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about All-Inclusive Resorts Jamaica

What does all-inclusive include in Jamaica?

All-inclusive resorts in Jamaica typically include accommodations, meals, snacks, and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. All-inclusive packages often encompass activities like non-motorized gear for water sports (i.e., kayaks, paddle boards, etc.), entertainment, and access to pools and other resort facilities.

It’s rare, but some resorts even include spa treatments, excursions, and airport transfers as part of their all-inclusive price. However, it’s important to check with the particular establishment for precise details since this can vary greatly between different resorts.

How much money do I need at an all-inclusive Jamaica?

The cost of an all-inclusive vacation in Jamaica varies widely depending on factors like location, quality, duration of stay, and time of year. On average, you can expect to pay between roughly $1,000 to $3,000 per person for a week-long stay at a mid-range all-inclusive resort. Luxury resorts can cost significantly more.

For example, a week in a luxury villa at Excellence Oyster Bay costs upwards of $15,000. All to say, it’s best to research specific resorts and their current pricing, taking into account your travel dates and preferences.

Where is the nicest place to vacation in Jamaica?

While the nicest place is a bit subjective, we can say many love to spend their Jamaican vacation on Montego Bay at resorts like Hilton Rose Hall Jamaica or S Hotel Jamaica.

Negril is also a popular spot, featuring a seven mile beach and gorgeous stays like  Sunset at the Palms. Ocho Rios is another destination we love where you’ll find ocean views, beachy weather and 5 star accommodations like the Sandals Royal Plantation.
