If you’re reading this, you must believe there is some value to this overlooked and underappreciated piece of clothing. And there is! Consider a neck gaiter your next piece of performance gear.

Wearing a jacket without a neck gaiter creates a sort of chimney effect where hot air rises and escapes out of the top of the collar. You may have heard that large amounts of warmth escape from the head. Well, the same is true with the neck. This can be prevented by purchasing a warm neck gaiter.

There are also cool-weather neck gaiters that offer protection from sun, dirt, and even bugs. These neck gaiters work to help you stay cool, rather than warm.
