Easy Pop-Up
After testing out a number of beach tents, we became quite skeptical of any that claimed to offer “pop-up” convenience, but we were pleasantly surprised by the Outdoor Master Beach Tent. After the first try, which admittedly didn’t go very smoothly, we got the hang of it and could have this tent up and anchored in under 5 minutes.
We found the overhead mesh pockets to be really handy for storing more valuable items that we hoped to keep out of the sand. Many other beach tents offer pockets that basically sit on the floor of the tent, which are far more vulnerable to sand and moisture, so we appreciated the thoughtful pocket placement.
We also appreciated the zip-up privacy door that doubles as an extended floor space. The zipper provides a little more security than the velcro on the Oileus Beach Tent, giving us a little more peace of mind when changing into dry clothes.
Tent Material: UV & Weatherproof
The Outdoor Master Beach Tent features a 210T polyester shade, which effectively blocks heat and harmful UV rays, boasting a 50+ UPF rating. With a 3000mm rated PU coating, this beach tent is also adequately weatherproof, providing protection from the sun, wind, and even light rain. This makes it a great companion for many outdoor activities where you’ll need a break from the sun. The floor is made from 150D outdoor material that is strong enough to handle shoes, beach chairs, and usual wear and tear.
The 8.5mm fiberglass frame poles offer the best of both worlds, providing heavy-duty durability. Fiberglass is a particularly great material for beach tents as it isn’t prone to rust like steel or other alloys, so you’ll get a little more longevity out of this product.
The Outdoor Master Beach Tent also features 180-degrees of large mesh windows along the back half of the tent with optional roll-up shades for additional sun protection or more ventilation, similar to the Gorich or Oileus Beach Tents.
Beach Tent Size & Weight
With sizable open dimensions of 53” x 95” x 51”, the Outdoor Master Beach Pop-Up Tent is large enough to comfortably provide sun shelter for 2 adults and 2 kids. Since the zipper privacy door doubles as an extension of the tent floor, the floor area almost doubles for storing your personal items off the sand.
Thanks to the lightweight materials used in this design, the Outdoor Master Beach Tent is portable. Weighing in at 8 lbs, this beach tent is the heaviest option on our list, but 8 lbs is still a very manageable weight. This isn’t the the best tent for throwing in your backpack, but it’s still convenient in the grand scheme of things.
Outdoor Master Performance & Durability
The Outdoor Master Beach Tent is made from waterproof materials and handles mild to moderate wind quite well, making it a great choice for unpredictable weather.
We have already mentioned the strength of the materials on this tent, but that extra durability really makes all the difference in the elements. We also enjoyed the tent’s versatility, with several anchoring options to accommodate use on sand, grass, or even rocks, allowing for reliable shade in a number of outdoor settings.
Once we got the hang of it, it took us 5 minutes and was perfectly manageable to assemble by yourself. While the carry bag isn’t as compact as say the Gorich Beach Tent, but the extra room is appreciated – though we would recommend using a bungee cord to get the tent compact enough to shimmy back in the bag. Getting it in and out of the carry bag was also notably easier than the Oileus Beach Tent. Bagged up, this tent fits great in car trunks and closets.
The zipper door offers privacy while changing and doubles as an extended floor to your tent when you need a little more room. The Outdoor Master Beach Tent also features 180-degrees of large mesh windows with optional roll-up shades for additional sun protection or additional ventilation.
Price & Value
The Outdoor Master Beach Tent offers decent value around $70 on Amazon, which is pretty mid-range in terms of price. For the size, performance, and quality of this tent, this isn’t a bad deal and definitely a strong contender for the best overall tent.
Master, Indeed
All in all, we found the Outdoor Master Beach Tent to be a strong option for shade at the beach. With easy set up, a nice amount of room, and rugged durability, this beach tent kept up with us through sun, wind, and even a little bit of splashing. We definitely recommend this product as a great mid to large-sized beach tent at a mid-level price.

Frequently asked questions
While we don’t recommend a beach tent for overnight camping, the Coleman Beach Shade Canopy is a solid option if you’re in a pinch. This tent has excellent waterproofing and zips completely closed, offering a suitable shelter from the elements that will keep you comfortable in all kinds of weather, while keeping you out of the sun during the day.
Otherwise, we recommend finding a heartier camping tent for overnight stays on the beach.
Weather isn’t always cooperative, so you may need some help keeping your beach tent cool on those extra hot summer days. If available, you can anchor your tent in a shady spot, or at least angle it to minimize direct sunlight. It also helps to keep the tent well-ventilated by opening window flaps to allow airflow through the space. Using a beach tent made from reflective or light-colored fabric is also said to reduce heat absorption, but if these suggestions aren’t quite doing the trick, you can always bring portable fans or battery-operated cooling devices as a last resort.
When setting up any beach tent, it is beneficial to find a suitable location on the beach on a level spot. Once you find your spot, take the Outdoor Master Beach Tent out of the bag, the tent will open up and you only have to (gently) unfold the two front legs. To secure the tent, use the attached sandbags and utilize stakes for extra stability. Finally, adjust the windows and ventilation to suit your preferences and enjoy your shady oasis.
