What to Do

Excellence Oyster Bay has a lengthy list of experiences to offer, most of which are included in the price of your stay. No matter your speed or style, this resort has plenty of ways to kick back and enjoy your stay.

The Excellence Oyster Bay all-inclusive resort has all of the usual staples we have come to expect from high-end resorts, but they seem to take it to the next level in almost every category. The resort has 5 total swimming pools, including 2 private pools for Excellence Club members (a luxury upgrade), 2 beachfront pools, and a rooftop pool at the sky bar, as well as 4 hot tubs scattered about the property. Additionally, the resort has the usual fitness center but also offers complimentary yoga, dance, and aerobics classes.

The resort also has a beautiful spa with a sizable menu of indulgent offerings, but unfortunately, the spa treatments are not included in the price of your stay – and they can be quite expensive. If a spa day is non-negotiable for your vacation, we highly recommend checking out the S Hotel Jamaica.

For those looking for a little more excitement than the pool has to offer, Excellence Oyster Bay offers plenty of water sports gear, games, and other novelty ways to pass the time. From snorkeling gear, to stand-up paddle boards, to bikes and beach games, the resort has you covered.

They also offer a number of unique experiences, like a cooking class or an archery lesson. There are also a couple of premiere activities you can book for an additional fee, like deep sea fishing and scuba diving lessons.

You can upgrade to the Excellence Club for a higher tier of included amenities like access to private Excellence Club lounges, restaurants, bars, and pools, private check-in & check-out, an upgraded minibar, daily fruit and petit fours in suite, access to private beach and two pool areas, an aqua hydrotherapy treatment per person per stay and fresh flowers and sparkling wine in suite upon arrival.

What to Eat and Drink

Included in the price of your stay, the resort provides daily breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. There are 8 à la carte options for dinner, 2 à la carte lunch options, 1 buffet, as well as a takeaway wood oven pizza option. Let’s dive in to the options:

The Kitchen Table

Breakfast 7:00 am – 11:00 am

Complimentary breakfast and lunch are served daily at The Kitchen Table, including all the usual continental breakfast trappings with a little more luxury.

Dress Code: Casual (note that sleeveless t-shirts (for men), tank tops, wet clothes, and swimsuits are not allowed, and footwear must be worn at all times).

Chez Isabelle

Dinner 6:00 pm – 10:30 pm

With an expansive wine list and crisp white linens, Chez Isabelle is certainly a French fine dining destination.

Dress Code: “Dinner Casual Elegance” – Think business casual; men are required to wear dress pants and a collared shirt, and women can wear dress pants or skirts with a blouse, or a dress. Casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn.

Oregano

Lunch 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm | Dinner 6:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Oregano is Excellence Oyster Bay’s Italian offering – and a great one, at that. The restaurant offers house made pasta, Italian wines, and wood oven pizzas that you can even get to-go.

Dress Code: Casual Shorts, bermudas, sarongs, and t-shirts are welcome. 

Dinner Regular Casual: Men can wear shorts, Bermudas, Capri or long pants with a dress shirt, collarless shirt, or polo shirt. Women are free to wear pants, skirts and blouses, or dresses. Casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn.

Caribbean Grove

Dinner 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm

If you were hoping to try the local cuisine, Caribbean Grove is the place to go. They offer steak, seafood, and jerk chicken, all with the signature Jamaican and Caribbean flavors and spices.

Dinner Regular Casual: Men can wear shorts, Bermudas, Capri or long pants with a dress shirt, collarless shirt, or polo shirt. Women are free to wear pants, skirts and blouses, or dresses. Casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn. 

The Lobster House

Breakfast 8:00 am – 12:00 pm | Lunch 12:30 pm – 5:00 pm | Dinner 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm

The Lobster House has earned countless positive reviews for its fresh breakfast offerings as well as its indulgent shellfish-centric dinner with a gorgeous al-fresco backdrop. It’s worth noting, they won’t be serving lobster during Jamaica’s closed season (April 1 – June 30).

Excellence Oyster Bay offers a number of other restaurants on site, including Spice, The Grill, Jerk Hut: Jamaican Barbecue, Magna, and Zenith. They also have a sports bar where you can catch the game, as well as pool and beach service for when you work up an appetite on the water.

The resort also features 9 bars & lounges that offer unlimited natural fruit juices, soft drinks, and international premium and domestic alcoholic beverages – Martini, Aroma, Aire, and Blue are just a few of the bars and lounges available to you at Excellence Oyster Bay.

How far is Excellence Oyster Bay from the airport?

The Excellence Oyster Bay resort is just 30 minutes from the international airport. While it may not be quite as convenient as some Montego Bay resorts like the S Hotel Jamaica or the Jewel Grande Jamaica, we think the gorgeous views and quiet privacy more than make up for the longer drive.
