Where to buy Luna Sandals Mono Winged Edition:

The Luna Mono Winged editions boast a flat and thin footbed that maximizes ground feel and truly embodies the “less is more” philosophy without sacrificing quality or performance. Compared to bulkier options like the popular Chacos or Tevas, Luna strikes a perfect balance between form and function with a sleek and minimal design. These ultra-lightweight, waterproof, and versatile sandals are the perfect companion for your water, land, or amphibious adventures.
The Luna sandals are also an ideal water shoe in terms of packability, making them an excellent choice for travel or backpacking. With their thin and lightweight sole, these sandals offer a barefoot experience without the discomfort or risks of going shoeless. However, it’s important to note that due to their open-toe sandal design, they may not provide the best upper foot protection during hikes or shallow swims. We still wholly recommend them, they just may require a little extra caution to avoid tripping, toe stubbing, or scraping against debris.
The Luna company as a whole appears to be quite beloved by active lifestyle press outlets, and their shoes continue to grow in popularity as minimalist running footwear gains more and more credibility. The company also clearly believes in their products, as all Luna shoes are backed by a 30-day warranty. Let’s Outoria to the specs…

Got Off On The Right Foot
We were pleasantly surprised to feel how comfortable these minimalist shoes are. With smooth, well-padded straps that hold feet snugly in place, these are some of the most comfortable and secure-feeling sandals we’ve tried.
We were also impressed by the beautiful simplicity of the shoe design, providing noteworthy flexibility and ground-feel. The Luna Mono Winged Edition Sandals seem to be as close as you can get to going barefoot while still maintaining some level of foot protection.
While function is our top priority, we were also quite fond of these sandals in terms of style. The Luna Mono Winged Edition Sandals feature a sleek and minimal design, with straps that come in a variety of trendy colors.
Comfort
For a design that is as barebones as the Luna Mono Winged Edition Sandals, these shoes are remarkably comfortable. While there are various schools of thought on foot health, there is strong evidence building in favor of minimalist footwear, like the Luna Sandals, that less is more in terms of arch support. With a zero-drop and zero toe-box design, these sandals claim to minimize foot health issues by providing an unrestricted, natural ground feel that helps to build the necessary strength in your soles and toes to avoid plantar fasciitis, bunions and other foot-related maladies.
Additionally, the smooth straps and heel cushion greatly play into the comfortable fit, minimizing any potential rubbing or hot spots. We were expecting to experience the usual flip-flop chafing between our toes, but the straps are so soft that you hardly even feel them. Their marketing claims: “A free foot is a happy foot,” and our happy feet couldn’t agree more.
Use
These are not your average sandals. Don’t let the minimal design fool you – they are tough as nails and up for just about any challenge. The Luna Mono Winged Edition Sandals feature an incredibly flexible and lightweight design that offers ground-feel and versatility for many, if not all, aquatic and amphibious activities.
The 11mm base + 4mm tread height provides exceptional grip and performance on slick rocks or dusty inclines, ensuring stability and performance in various, especially wet, terrains. Additionally, the “Monkey Grip Technology” footbeds and single strap design work in tandem to keep your feet snug in the sandals and not slipping over the sides.
Many users claim to have rigorously used their shoes for years on end, only replacing them when the treads are worn flat. It may sound too good to be true, but we think these sandals offer more stability and a better fit than many closed-toed shoes on the market. Even Trail Runner Magazine included the Luna Sandals in their list of best trail running shoes this year – Lunas being the only sandal to make the list. As far as we’re concerned, these are some tough, high performing sandals.
Material
The sandals feature a waterproof, non-marking Vibram Morflex sole that ensures durability and excellent traction on various surfaces. The lugs as well as their trademarked “Monkey Grip Technology” footbeds makes these a safe choice on slick surfaces and are sure to keep your feet securely locked into the sandals. The strap is made from climbing-grade, tubular webbing, known for its strength and durability, and also happens to be quite smooth and non-abrasive to the skin. The strap heel cushion offers some extra padding, with a texture reminiscent of soft neoprene, providing a cozy, extra snug fit.
Luna Sandals also proudly embrace a commitment to a vegan design, making these sandals an ethical choice for those who prioritize animal-free products. The overall quality is evident in the product, and sentiments of longevity and durability are echoed in countless positive customer reviews.
Value
The $110 price point of the Luna Mono Winged Edition Sandals is undeniably on the luxury end of the spectrum, sitting in the same price category as the best of them, like the KEEN Newport H2s or the Chaco Zcloud 2s.
While these shoes require a bit more of an investment than others on our list, we believe it’s money well spent since you won’t have to make another water shoe purchase for a long, long time. We are impressed with the durability and longevity of these shoes, and we genuinely think they are priced fairly considering how much wear and versatile function you’ll get out of them.
One Of the Greats
The Luna Mono Winged Edition Sandals have garnered a great deal of press attention from popular platforms like TED, National Geographic, Trail Runner Magazine, GQ, and more. Rarely do we see this much buzz around a shoe, but we feel this recognition is well earned and attests to the quality and performance of these sandals. We really enjoyed testing this product and are thrilled to stand behind it. We highly recommend these as water shoes and beyond.
