Feshka is a relatively new company; one of many brands that launched in the wake of the popular Sandcloud towels, offering a similar, turkish cotton design at a more palatable price point. The Feshka Original Turkish Beach Towel is as functional as it is stylish, and transitions easily from your beach bag to sitting on your couch as a cute throw blanket.
The Feshka Turkish Beach Towels are made from 100% organic, GOTS and OEKO-TEX® certified turkish cotton, which is both safe for skin and good for the planet. We weren’t familiar with Feshka prior to trying out their towels, but we were pleased to see that Feshka is a member of 1% for the Planet – which means they donate at least 1% of their annual revenue to environmental causes. Here at Outoria we’re looking for good products first and foremost, but ethical sourcing, production, and business always earns a few extra brownie points in our eyes.

First Impressions
There’s a lot to love about the FESHKA Towels, but the first thing you’ll love is their modern designs and trendy colorways. We tested out a beautiful marigold towel with a mandala design, which caught our eye straight out of the box.
We expected the material to feel thinner than it does. It’s still quite thin compared to a fluffy bath towel, but it feels more substantial than say the Wetcat Turkish Beach Towel – it almost feels like a thin woven blanket. It definitely serves as a more than adequate barrier between you and a sandy beach or damp grass. Though it feels more substantial than other Turkish cotton towels on our list, we were still doubtful that it would be particularly absorbent. To our surprise, we found it to be quite absorbent, and apparently Turkish cotton gets more absorbent with continued use, so it’s only going to get better as time goes on.
Material
The FESHKA Original Turkish Beach Towel is made with 100% organic, GOTS and OEKO-TEX® certified Turkish cotton. The fabric is incredibly soft and surprisingly lightweight for its size, and safe for your skin and better for the environment. The fabric is thinner than most beach towels by quite a bit, but still feels more substantial than the Wetcat Turkish Beach Towel. It packs down smaller than a 32oz Hydro Flask, and only weighs 13.4oz.
The fabric feels more like a thin, woven blanket than it does a towel, which makes it a really versatile product you can use as a throw blanket, a travel blanket, a beach towel and more. Some users even claim to have used it for accessorizing an outfit as a scarf or a wrap.
While you may not expect it when feeling the fabric in your hands, Turkish towels are also incredibly absorbent. The long cotton fibers soak up water like a sponge, and they actually become more absorbent with use, as the fibers begin to open up.
Size & Weight
The towel is a bit smaller than some of the others on our list like the Rainleaf Microfiber towel or the Nomadix Original towel, and closer in size to a traditional beach towel. It still provides a good bit of wiggle room, even for taller folks, but it’s size isn’t the main appeal.
The Feshka Towels, and Turkish towels in general, are inherently lightweight and pack down remarkably small, making them very travel friendly for the beach, the gym, or chilly red eye flights. The Original towel is a substantial beach towel that folds down to about the size of a 32oz Hydro Flask and only weighs 13.4oz.
Performance
The FESHKA Original Turkish Beach Towel is a hard working product. It is sand resistant, highly absorbent, quick drying, and lightweight. All of the performance is in the 100% cotton fibers, which are awesome at pulling moisture in, and keeping sand out. The pile on regular beach towels is long, creating lots of nooks and crannies for sand to get trapped. The Feshka Turkish Towels have a tight weave and a short pile, so sand doesn’t have anywhere to stick. The short pile also contributes to the quick drying times, as there is more exposed surface area speeding up the evaporation process.
These towels also make great travel companions for hikers or jet setters, as they are substantial enough to give you the comfort of a thin blanket while keeping your bag light. It’s highly functional and doesn’t take up too much space in your bag. Turkish towels also make pretty great yoga towels, thanks to their thin pile and excellent absorption.
The Feshka Towels wear many hats, but they may be a bit too thin for times when you might want a bit more pile – like when holding a hot pan or looking for a makeshift pillow on a long flight. There is a time and a place for a fluffy towel, and when that time comes you may want to reach for something else.
Odor Resistance
While it’s not immediately obvious whether or not these towels are odor resistant, the quick drying quality is a great sign. Typically the longer a towel stays damp, the more time bacteria and fungi have to make a home, so the quick drying nature of the Feshka Towels should keep them pretty fresh. The towels are also machine washable, so when they get a little too pungent it’s easy to clean them right up.
We would have liked to see a hanging loop for convenient drying for camping and hiking to avoid putting a wet towel in your bag. It’s easy enough to throw over a tree branch or tie around a loop on your bag, but a loop would have been nice.
Value
The Feshka Original Turkish Beach Towels are on the pricey side, but we think the value is pretty high and overall worth the investment. These towels, while a bit smaller, are an otherwise perfect competitor to the popular Sand Cloud Towels, which ring in at $50. The Feshka Towels are equally high quality, absorbent, and beautifully designed, but for just $38. While it’s still a bit more expensive than a few other picks on our list, we think this purchase would be money well spent.
The Verdict
Ultimately, we loved the Original Feshka Turkish Beach Towel. It gets the job done and does it in style, offering subtle luxury at a reasonable price point. We highly recommend the Feshka towels, especially for the beach or pool.

Frequently asked questions
While big, fluffy towels have their time and place, Turkish towels bring a lot to the table and are a perfect staple for your summer beach bag. Turkish towels are made from 100% cotton, making them highly absorbent. Turkish towels are also incredibly fast drying, sant resistant and packable thanks to their thin pile. What they lack in plush luxury, they more than make up for in function and packability.
Sand-free towels are towels that have thinner pile, or smaller fabric loops, that don’t provide sand much to grip onto. Turkish towels like the Feshka Original Turkish Beach Towel are made with long strands of cotton that sit flush to the towel and don’t provide a lot of fluff for sand to get caught in. Microfiber towels work very similarly, like the Eccosophy Microfiber Beach Towel, they have micro fabric loops that are too small to trap sand between its fibers.
Turkish towels, like the Feshka Original Turkish Beach Towel, are known for being highly absorbent, but often this takes time. If you find your turkish towel isn’t absorbent, it’s likely because the tight, long, cotton strands that are woven into your turkish towel haven’t had a chance to open up. With use and washing, the fibers will expand a bit and slowly but surely allow more moisture into the fibers.
