What to Do

The Grand America Hotel has the first and only spa in Salt Lake City to earn the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating for multiple years.  It is an elegant facility that offers unrivaled service, a superb fitness center, and pristine pools in a tranquil setting. The Grand Spa is an oasis of relaxation and well-being that provides a variety of refreshing services.

The Fitness Center at The Grand America Hotel includes a luxury outdoor swimming pool with poolside dining, a Mediterranean-inspired indoor lap pool, a 24/7 fitness center with state-of-the-art cardio machines, a full array of workout equipment, and a large space for stretching and core work. On Saturday mornings, you can unwind with a complimentary yoga class.

Make sure to check the Grand America Hotel’s event calendar to see what is available during your stay, like Utah Opera Resident Artist performances or the Intermezzo Chamber Music Series they put on in the beautiful courtyard. What to Eat & Drink

There are four on-site world-class dining options at the Grand America Hotel. You can find everything from pastries to cheeseburgers. In addition, staying at the Grand America, you can enjoy a light snack or a gourmet meal in the comfort of your room with 24-hour in-room dining.

The main restaurant, Laurel Brasserie, offers delicious dishes during breakfast, Sunday brunch, lunch, happy hour, and dinner under luxurious Venetian crystal glass chandeliers. They even have a lush outdoor terrace space to enjoy your meal.

Bonnie Vie is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. So, no matter when you get up, you won’t miss getting a coffee and croissant. When your sweet tooth strikes, head here to indulge in chocolates and cute pastel macarons.

One of the highlights at the Grand America Hotel is to come to Afternoon Tea. This daily event is a wonderful way to experience a high tea. And while you are there, servers will take your group’s photo to preserve this fun experience.

Later in the day, you can head to two lounges: the Gibson Lounge and the Lobby Lounge. Step back into the Golden Age in the Gibson Lounge, which serves cocktails and craft brews. Food options include cheeseburgers, shrimp cocktails, Caesar salad, and vanilla crème brûlée. The Lobby Lounge offers lighter refreshments along with vegan and vegetarian options.

Room Guide

The 775 luxurious rooms at the Grand America Hotel are decorated with elegant furnishings where excellence is reflected in every detail. Room options range from exquisite suites, premier rooms, and accessible rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows that open up to a small balcony with views of the surrounding Wasatch Mountains, breathtaking views of Salt Lake City, or the beautifully landscaped gardens.

Each guest room features a large, indulgent spa-style bathroom with Italian marble walk-in showers and soaking tubs with powerful water pressure, plenty of toiletries, plush bathrobes, and slippers.

Other room amenities include an in-room coffeemaker, luxurious down pillows and comforters, a leather-topped work desk with power outlets, an alarm clock radio with Bluetooth connectivity, free Wi-Fi, In-room personal safe, and flatscreen TVs with HD content.

Premier Rooms: Staying in the Premier Rooms will have you enjoying elegant comfort in the 700 square feet rooms, including a king or two queen beds for up to four people and a separate comfortable seating area to enjoy the floor-to-ceiling views.

Suites: The 880 square feet Executive Suites have a spacious walk-in closet, a comfortable seating area separated from the bedroom, and one king bed or two queen beds for up to four people.

The Presidential Suites allows two people to enjoy a posh 2400-square-foot suite. The suite has a king bed, a full living room complete with a Bose surround sound system, “his & hers” bathrooms with an Italian marble whirlpool tub, a full kitchen with a separate breakfast bar, and a dining room that can seat up to eight.

There are also Kitchenette Suites if you are staying longer or want a space for a big family gathering. The Kitchenette suites come with one king or two queens with a pull-out bed and a fully equipped kitchen, and the Tower Kitchenette Suites include a washer and dryer.

Special Experiences

The Grand America Hotel offers several events and meals to make your holidays special, like the Witches Tea, Santa’s Magic Morning, and the Holiday Window Stroll.

You can even come and celebrate Thanksgiving and enjoy the scrumptious buffets on Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. Also, let them cook brunch for you and your family on Mother’s Day and Easter.
