What to Do
Kids of all ages should never be bored at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana. One of its most popular features is the Aqua Nick water park, where you can splash on waterslides, a lazy river, and among some of your favorite scenes from the big screen. That’s besides the multiple swimming pools that weave around the rooms and also that front the beach.
More active kids and adults can hit the Sports Hub for tennis, soccer, volleyball, giant chess, archery, and even more sports. Parents and older children can even try an introductory pool scuba course and take to some of the region’s best dive spots if they’re ready.
Club Nick is the place for kids to meet new friends, play games, enjoy guided activity programs, and more, with things like an art studio and a ball pit with a slide. Parents might want to take an opportunity to escape to the Vassa Spa for a massage or hydrotherapy circuit. There’s even a Baby Zone supervised by professional nannies, meaning even the youngest kids can get looked after for a bit.
In the evenings, come together for pajama parties, white-out dance nights, and all kinds of other events at the Plaza Orange entertainment venue. There are always characters to meet, like SpongeBob, the Fairly Oddparents, Paw Patrol’s Marshall, and others, plus special Orange Carpet events. And obviously, there are plenty of opportunities for the whole family to get slimed.
What to Eat and Drink
The main restaurant at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana is Sugarcane, which offers all kinds of different dishes from around the globe. Food is cooked to order in open kitchens as part of the entertainment, and there’s al fresco seating and an adults-only area. Sugarcane is open for all meals and does rotating theme nights.
On weekends, Zest is a character dining alternative for breakfast and lunch, although there’s a surcharge here. It serves fresh Mediterranean dishes with visits from Dora, Boots, SpongeBob, Patrick, and other favorites. Lunch is also available at Aquabite, just a few steps from the pool, and Fresco, serving Italian specialties al-fresco.
You can enjoy even more Italian at dinner time at Verdello Sicilian Kitchen. Or, craft a burger at BRGRS.PH – the Machete Burger is so big that it has to be cut with a machete! Specialty restaurants include Wok Wok Far Eastern Fusion and Spacewalker Interstellar Cuisine, which serves out-of-this-world food.
Finally, kids aren’t left out of the swim-up bar experience at Jazmin – while there are plenty of cocktails and other alcohols for the parents, all kinds of mocktails have been made just for kids. And if your room is just too cool to leave for a meal, room service is always an option.
Room Guide
Since Nickelodeon Resorts & Hotels Punta Cana is made for families, all the rooms here are suites or villas, leaving plenty of space for everyone to play. Each is outfitted with a combination of modern, luxurious features and unique, exciting aspects you won’t find at a standard resort. The resort categorizes them as Suites, Swim-Up, and two villas.
Suites: All suites offer at least a king-sized bed plus a pull-out sofa, while some come with two doubles plus a sofa. Flat Suites and Swank Suites have separate living rooms, while Pad Suites and Nest Suites have the sofa bed in the same room; connecting rooms can be arranged for extra space. Swank Plunge Pool Suites are the most deluxe version of all, with wrap-around balconies and your own private swimming spot.
Pool Super Villa: This is a serious family upgrade that will wow both parents and kids. Two bedrooms, three bathrooms, private gardens, and a large infinity pool provide the ultimate space for family time just steps from the rest of the resort’s fun.
The Pineapple Villa: No way we weren’t giving this one its own special shoutout. It’s the resort’s most iconic accommodation and is inspired by SpongeBob Squarepants’ famous undersea home. The two-bedroom, three-bathroom pineapple-shaped villa has plenty of whimsical features plus luxuries like a swimming pool and butler service, and residents will undoubtedly be the most special guests in the house.
Special Experiences
You are almost guaranteed to have a special family vacation at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana, but you can be absolutely sure of that by booking one of the specialty suites – like The Pineapple Villa. Parents will get just as much pleasure from seeing the look on their kids’ faces as they will from the huge living space, private swimming pool, and top level of service the resort can offer.
