Musket Cove is another incredible beach on the stunning Mamanuca islands. The island of Malolo Lailai is a 45-minute boat ride from Denarau Marina, making it an option for those looking for a day trip. It is also very close to Malolo and Castaway Islands, making it a great place for those looking to island-hop to several of Fiji’s best beaches.
Musket Cove has a slightly rustic feel, but also some luxurious amenities like resorts with infinity pools and full-service spa opportunities. The island has great snorkeling, beach bars, and other activities. There are also resorts on this small island. Keep in mind, however, that some of them have some age restrictions, so if you have children you may want to sleep at a different nearby island.
Things we like:
-
A wonderful beach to add to a Mamanuca island-hopping trip
-
Resorts are great for active couples who like islands with a variety
-
Like other Mamanuca islands, there is great snorkeling and diving here
Things we don't like:
-
Several resorts on the island have child restrictions, so it is not very family friendly
-
If snorkeling is what you are after, Malolo Island is better
-
For those seeking tranquility, consider venturing further to the Yasama Islands
