This year-round expansive theme park and waterpark resort is convenient for families. This all-in-one approach makes the resort special, offering everything needed for a fantastic vacation in one location.
The theme park has a wide range of thrilling rides, from roller coasters to go-karts. The water park features an array of wave pools, a lazy river, and slides, including the world’s largest water coaster. The variety and scale of these attractions excite visitors of all ages.
One of the most distinctive aspects of Mount Olympus is its Greek mythology theme. From towering statues of Greek gods to immersive surroundings, visitors are transported into a world of legend and lore. This theme creates a magical atmosphere that adds a layer of wonder to the entire experience.
Coming in the summer of 2024, America’s tallest waterslide – The Rise of Icarus, at 145 feet with five waterslides. Ten new water slides and children’s play area features will also be added.

What to Do
Mount Olympus Theme Park & Resort has numerous things for families to do at their Greek-themed waterparks and theme parks. The Outdoor Water Park has rides for all ages, like the six-story Lost City of Atlantis, The River Troy, Poseidon’s Rage, and plenty of Triton’s water slides.
The Indoor Water Park has the River Styx, Medusa’s Shipwreck, the Hydra Body Slide, and the new Medusa Slidewheel, which combines a Ferris wheel’s movement and a waterslide’s speed and thrill. With all the wave pools, lazy rivers, body slides, hot tubs, and multi-person raft slides & rides, families can spend days having the time of their lives.
Pro tip: Try to avoid peak times for reduced crowds and lines.
The theme parks have even more rides and activities. The Outdoor Theme Park has seven go-kart tracks, six roller coasters, and other rides. The Indoor Theme Park has mini-golf, swings, teacups, bumper cars, a climbing wall, and an arcade.
As a year-round resort, there are offers for guests during winter. Included with your winter stay, you can ski and snow tube at Christmas Mountain as a Mount Olympus Theme Park & Resort guest.
What to Eat & Drink
There are 16 dining options on-site, ranging from snack shops to restaurants offering various menu choices. Most options are within the water and theme parks except for Gladiators Bar & Grill and a Kaffe Opa shop near the Hotel Rome lobby.
At the Mount Olympus Resort, you can find pizza, burgers, sandwiches, ice cream, and many other quick eats.
Room Guide
Mt. Olympus Resort has over 1600 rooms ranging from standard to multi-bedroom guestrooms. Your choices are based on how close you want to be to the theme and water parks.
The Hotel Rome (building 1) is next to the water park. The Mount Olympus Resort Rooms are accommodations that are off the park grounds. Unfortunately, you won’t know which building you’ll be in until after check-in.
No matter where you stay, you’ll receive free passes to the Mount Olympus Theme Parks and Water Parks, plus you’ll get a bonus day at the park upon checkout.
Hotel Rome is the closest to the parks and is connected to the indoor water park. Each room has a TV, Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. You have a choice of rooms with a queen with bunk beds, two queens, two queens with bunk beds, three queens, or a two-bedroom unit with a queen bed, a sofa sleeper, and a kitchenette.
Mt. Olympus Resort Rooms are a collection of rooms that are mostly older motels that were purchased by Mount Olympus. They are a short drive away from the Mount Olympus parks.
Each room has a TV, Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. The room choices are based on how many queen beds you wish to have, from one to five, and whether/or not you want bunk beds.
Other rooms include multiple bedrooms like the 2 Bedroom Unit that includes two semi-private rooms with three queen beds and a bunk bed in 900 sq ft. The unit also has a living room, TV, a dining room, and a kitchen.
The 2,700 sq. ft. 4 Bedroom Unit has three queen beds, two sets of bunk beds, a full kitchen, and a large patio deck.
You can also stay at the Mt. Olympus Camp Resort. You can choose between cabins with a queen bed and a bunk bed with or without a bathroom. A separate building has showers and restrooms nearby. Each cabin includes a Picnic Table, BBQ grill, Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, a TV, refrigerator, and microwave.
There is also a Tent Site with a tent included. You just bring your sleeping bag and any other camping equipment you like.
Special Experiences
During the holiday season, you can walk through their half-mile Nights of Lights Walk and enjoy a two million light display or explore Santa’s Christmas Village.
Other holidays to experience are Spring Wonderland, 4th of July, Halloween Town, and their New Year’s Celebration.
