What’s Special About This Resort
There are few places for adventure in the world like the island of Bali, and the Meliá on Nusa Dua Beach is your all-inclusive piece of paradise to explore it from. Large lagoon-style pools line the property and offer plenty of space to spread out and relax.
The sandy beach that the resort sits on is ideally located just over 20 minutes from the lively streets of Kuta and Jimbaran – just far enough to be quiet and peaceful, but close enough to enjoy the fun. Jungles, volcanos, exotic wildlife, and much more await your discovery across the island.
The all-inclusive option at the Meliá Bali includes all three meals from the time of your arrival to the time of your departure. Special theme nights are included, along with alcoholic drinks. Snorkel gear, paddle boards, and canoes are available to enjoy the sea, while yoga classes, sports, and games are available on land.

What to Do
Many visitors to Meliá Bali will be tempted to find a pool or beach chair and enjoy the atmosphere. After all, the several swimming pools among the garden atmosphere and the calm sea off the sandy beach are delightful – and that’s not even considering the spa. However, Bali is a place for thrills and experiences, and there’s so much to do here.
Being on the south side of the island, don’t miss the chance to see the famous Uluwatu Temple perched on its seaside cliff, with rolling waves that beckon surfers below. Just north of there are beach towns like Padang Padang, Jimbaran, and Kuta, famous for partying, shopping, and more.
Further up the western coast, you’ll find plenty more of those picturesque temples, like the famous Tanah Lot, which may be on an island depending on the tides. Towards the mountains, a network of jungles and valleys offer unbelievable hiking and nature experiences. Visit one of the many waterfalls, such as Aling-Aling or Banyumalu, for awesome photos.
Central Bali is home to Ubud, the iconic village of rolling rice paddies and lively markets. Visit the Monkey Forest not only to get an up-close look at one of Bali’s most famous species (don’t wear jewelry you don’t want to lose), but also to take a jungle walk past beautiful sculptures and temples.
These activities only scratch the surface of all the possible adventures in Bali, and we haven’t even mentioned things like diving, surfing, trekking, and visiting one of the many animal parks. You could spend a month here and still not experience all of the thrills!
What to Eat & Drink
There are five restaurants at the Meliá Bali, all of which can be enjoyed on your all-inclusive package. The day starts at El Patio, where a massive buffet including regional delights like Chinese and Indian food is served.
El Patio remains open for all-day dining, with an international à-la-carte menu and market-style buffet dinners from around the world. The Sateria Beachfront Restaurant is another option for lunch and dinner with Mediterranean pastas, seafood, and salads with a side of live music.
Even more dinner options include Lotus, a southeast Asian eatery incorporating Balinese local specialties, and Sakura, a Tokyo fish market-themed sushi and teppanyaki grill. A number of bars serve drinks all day with views of the sea, gardens, and mountains, while a pastry shop serves Balinese coffee and tea as well.
Room Guide
There are 18 different room categories at the Meliá Bali, with different offerings suiting a wide range of travelers and budgets. We’re going to break them down a bit more simply here.
Standard Garden Views: Set in the hotel’s tranquil garden atmosphere, these rooms come in standard, premium, or connecting options. Each is just over 450 square feet (42 square meters) in size and is furnished with one double or two single beds. They are luxuriously appointed with amenities and decor and offer balconies or terraces to enjoy the island air from.
Junior Suites: The Meliá takes “junior” suites up a notch with these two-story spaces. Options include standard, lagoon-access, and “The Level” rooms – the latter is an exclusive club-like experience at the resort that grants access to a private pool and lounge. The 660+ square feet (62 square meters) of these rooms include a king-sized bed upstairs and a dining and living area downstairs, while some have pool access directly from the back door.
Family Suites: Also duplexes and available for The Level reservations, these rooms are the same size and of the same layout as the above junior suites. But, the downstairs portion has two single beds, making them ideally spaced for families.
Romance and Presidential Suites: These rooms are high-end, luxury escapes more than a step up from the other categories. Both are only available on The Level reservations and offer very large sizes – 915 square feet (85 square meters) and 1890 square feet (176 square meters), respectively. You’ll also have a private check-in when staying in one of these suites.
Garden Villas: The most exclusive rooms at the Meliá Bali are its one and two-bedroom villas among the peaceful gardens. With separate lounging and dining areas, both indoors and out, there is more than enough space to spread out and relax. Outdoor showers and private pools add to the privacy of these. Of course, these villas have access to all The Level amenities.
Special Experiences
There are special experiences to be had all around the island of Bali, but let’s start at the resort. As mentioned, the El Patio restaurant offers themed dinner evenings, which are included in the all-inclusive package – don’t miss the chance to try cuisine you’ve never sampled before.
The YHI Spa is Meliá’s place for relaxation, comprising nearly 10,000 square feet of space on the property. What better place is there to get a Balinese massage than Bali? Treatment rooms here, both indoor and outdoor, blend seamlessly with the peace of the garden environment and the quiet of Nusa Dua. In-room spa experiences are available for couples to make it even more special, and there’s even a kid’s treatment option.
Take advantage of the comparatively low prices in Bali to do something awesome, like chartering a boat or touring the island by helicopter. Or, do something as simple as renting a surfboard and hitting the legendary waves – Bali is a place of many possibilities.
