What’s special about this resort
Located in the posh Puerto Vallarta Marina neighborhood, the Marriot Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa is an upscale beachfront resort has all the elements of a relaxing vacation. It has a quieter and more low key vibe than neighboring resorts, but still features a decent amount of activities to keep guests busy during the day.
It’s a great choice for families, couples, and seniors looking for a laidback all-inclusive experience.
In addition to unlimited food/drinks and 24/7 room service, the all-inclusive package includes daily activities, and access to the fitness center. Marriot Puerta Vallarta has 3 pools, including water slides at the kids pool.

What to do
The warm Mexican weather is perfect for spending days out in the sun. Whether working on your tan or exploring the ocean via rentable kayaks or paddle boards, the beach has plenty of space for everyone.
If the combination of salt water and sand isn’t your thing, you can still soak up the sun at the resort’s large infinity pool. When it gets a little too warm for comfort, take a dip and float your way over to the swim-up bar for a refreshingly icy drink.
Explore the neighborhood and take a leisurely walk to the nearby marina, where you can see the docked rows of flashy yachts and spot incoming cruise ships in the distance. There are also a bunch of great local restaurants in the area too! Ask the staff members for their personal recommendations.
If you’re looking for a low key excursion outside of the resort, you won’t regret visiting the Vallarta Botanical Gardens. Experience the natural beauty of Mexico’s flora and fauna, including over 1200 species of orchids!
What to eat
Start your day off right with a delicious breakfast from the La Estancia buffet, featuring a combination of international dishes and flavors. Make your omelet just the way you like it at the omelet bar and choose from a large selection of fresh fruits and juices.
Dig into flavorful Asian-fusion dishes while a special teppanyaki show is prepared at Mikado. Enjoy a few glasses of beer and finger-licking-good wings at Champions Sports Bar. For local flavors with just the right amount of spice, head to Las Casitas, where a variety of Mexican dishes are on the menu.
Catch a breathtaking sunset at the Nosh Sunset Bar + Bites while sipping on a refreshing cocktail. Cool down at the Ice Cream Shop with a deliciously creamy and sweet ice cream sundae. Even more food options, like a seafood bar and coffee house, are also located on-site.
