What to Do
As Marquis Los Cabos is strongly geared towards a crowd in search of beach and poolside relaxation, you’ll find that some of the best things to do around the property involve doing very little. There are three beautiful swimming pools, two of which are infinity-style, hot tubs, and sun loungers are spread all around the resort. The beach out front is massive and sandy if you’d rather hear the waves while you sunbathe.
You can also relax indoors at the lovely Spa Marquis with a massage, salon visit, or in its wet circuit. Within a quick drive of the resort is a number of golf courses, such as Cabo Real, El Dorado, Querencia, Palmilla, and Cabo del Sol.
There is, of course, plenty to do and see outside of relaxing by the water or on a golf course. Cabo is known as the black marlin fishing capital of the world, and you can easily arrange a sport fishing charter to hunt one down yourself. During the winter months, don’t miss the chance to see the famous humpback and gray whale migration offshore on a whale-watching excursion.
Other watersports like snorkeling and even surfing are available at a number of spots along the coast, and beaches like Chileno, Santa Maria, and Palmilla are perfect for swimming. The famous Arch of the Land’s End area is one of the most famous sites to visit – glass-bottom boat tours are a way to make yours extra special.
What to Eat & Drink
Five restaurants and a coffee shop make up the dining options at Marquis Los Cabos, each of them à-la-carte and with its own cuisine specialties. Breakfast is an exception, as it is served in an international buffet style at Vista Ballenas, with a beautiful view of the Sea of Cortez from its terrace.
You can also grab lunch there in the afternoon, where a “tasting tour around Mexico” menu is offered. Otherwise, you can dine at Dos Mares, the poolside spot with coastal specialties like ceviches and fish tacos.
There are several more options for dinner. Vista Ballenas continues its Mexican specialties throughout the day and evening. Pergola also opens its doors to serve a Mediterranean and Italian menu with a casual but elegant vibe. Or, dine at Sakke for teppanyaki-style Asian cuisine from the other side of the world.
While it’s not included in the all-inclusive package, guests in search of an extra-romantic and luxurious evening might choose to pay to dine at Canto del Mar, a contemporary French restaurant with a seven-course, wine-paired tasting menu. If you don’t want to deal with restaurants at all, room service is available 24 hours per day without any delivery charges.
Room Guide
All of the 209 rooms at Marquis Los Cabos have sea views and balconies or terraces to enjoy them from. Casitas add an element of uniqueness and privacy, plus direct access to everything and your own pool. Your room choice essentially comes down to how much space you want and whether the luxurious additions of a Master Suite or Casita are worth it to you.
Junior Suites: These entry-level room types are available in Ocean View and Oceanfront varieties, with Oceanfront having more panoramic and desirable positions. With one king or two double beds, they can host up to three people staying together and count about 650 square feet of living space. Lots of light, marble accents, luxuries like Nespresso machines and L’Occitane products, and a beautiful balcony are some of the best parts of these rooms.
Master Suites: The next level up more than doubles your living space, with a separate bedroom and a much larger balcony, which has a private plunge pool. These suites only come with one king bed but can host up to three guests with alternative bedding arrangements. The same touches as above, plus high ceilings, jet bathtubs, and high-end furniture, make the Master Suites special.
Casitas: The most special accommodations at the resort are arguably the Casitas, available in Eden (garden), Ocean View, and Oceanfront varieties. With nearly 1,700 square feet of living space, plus massive rooftop or garden terraces that are complete with plunge pools, this is the ultimate choice for seclusion and private luxury.
Marquis Presidential Suite: The largest room of all at the resort is on the top floor, giving it one of the best views. These, plus the massive furnished balcony to enjoy them from, are what really set this two-bedroom suite apart. With two double beds and a king bed, plus an expansive living room, dining room, and wet bar, it could be the choice for a small group of friends or family that want to get the most out of their hotel room.
Special Experiences
Couples headed to Marquis Los Cabos for an anniversary or honeymoon celebration can make it special even before their arrival – the resort staff is ready to arrange decorations in your suite or Casita, like balloons or special signs, to start your stay. Flowers, sparkling wine, and treats like chocolate-covered strawberries are also options to set the romantic scene.
To make the memories of your trip last a lifetime, professional photo sessions can also be arranged. The deep blue Sea of Cortez, golden sand, and white tones of the resort make for beautiful backgrounds.
If you’re the type of person who likes to really experience local life in a destination, let the Concierge make recommendations to explore the cities of Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. The latter hosts a fantastic weekly Art Walk most months of the year on which locals and visitors explore the colorful streets lined with all kinds of art, sipping wine and grabbing street food along the way. Local boutiques, cafés, and nightclubs are also great ways to meet others and try something off-the-beaten-path.
Your all-inclusive stay at Marquis Los Cabos comes with all à-la-carte dining at the four restaurants, the café deli, and room service. Premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are unlimited. Luxurious suite amenities, daily and nightly activities and entertainment, and sports like pickleball and tennis are other perks.
