What’s Special About This Resort

Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau may not be an all-inclusive resort like its Cancún and Dominican Republic counterparts, but it indeed deserves a spot on our list for being one of the newest and most popular resorts in Nassau.

It’s located on famous Junkanoo Beach, just steps from the downtown area and a quick ride to both the international airport and Paradise Island. In the Jimmy Buffett spirit, this resort is laid-back and lazy but luxurious, with top-notch food and drinks to complement the Caribbean views – the same ones that his songs make you envision!

Besides the traditional hotel experience, this resort also has the One Particular Harbour Suites, which provide residential-style homes-away-from-home for travelers that need more space and more time in their destination.

While it’s not all-inclusive, you can still get package deals at Margaritaville Nassau, such as rates with breakfast included and resort credits to cover other dining. Long-stay guests can benefit from up to 50% off standard rates.

➞ What to Do

Staying at Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau is easy and relaxing, thanks to so many on-site amenities that are all within a short walk of your room. That includes the massive Fins Up Water Park and its many pools, lazy river, 10-foot diving board, and FlowRider boogie boarding experience.

Junkanoo Beach, with its white sand and warm, clear water, is where many Bahamian locals go to spend a day, and it happens to be directly in front of the resort. If you’d rather stay indoors, the Entertainment Center has virtual reality sports, bowling, billiards, karaoke, and even a private movie theater.

Adults can kick back and relax in the St. Somewhere Spa while kids enjoy themselves at the Parakeets Kids Club. All age groups will also find something amazing to do on Paradise Island, just over the bridge, whether it’s fun at the casino, watersports on Cabbage Beach, or golf.

If you choose Margaritaville, take advantage of the location just steps from downtown Nassau. Visit historic sites like the Queen’s Staircase, admire the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas, or wander around the Ardastra Gardens, Zoo, and Conservation Centre. Of course, plentiful local shopping and dining are right there as well.

➞ What to Eat & Drink

There are 11 restaurants, bars, and cafés at Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau. Both a buffet and à-la-carte breakfast are served at Vacation Café. You can also grab something smaller from The Pointe Market or Joe Merchant’s Bakery, both of which continue selling takeaway items throughout the day.

For lunch and throughout the day, you can grab casual bar-and-grill food from places like Feeding Frenzy and S.O.S. Bar, both out by the pools. Vacation Café also has a full lunch menu if you’d like a more sit-down restaurant experience. Frank & Lola’s Pizzeria is an island-inspired Italian kitchen serving not just pizza but also pasta, salads, and wine.

Both Vacation Café and Frank & Lola’s are options for dinner as well, as are most of the poolside spots if you eat during the earlier dinner hours. JWB Prime Steak and Seafood is the signature evening restaurant bearing Jimmy Buffett’s initials and offers a “laid-back luxe” place to enjoy the best from the grill.

Other places to find cocktails during the day and night include 12 Volt Bar and Changes in Latitude Bar. Don’t miss Milk & Cream, where you can get a sweet treat after lunch or dinner, plus try bubble tea.

➞ Room Guide

Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau offers some of the newest guest rooms and suites on the island. There’s also the One Particular Harbour Suites, a separate accommodation section with residence-style rooms that also get all the benefits of the main resort. All rooms have an ocean view, so it’s really about choosing the amount of space and particular location.

Deluxe Oceanfront & Poolside: These standard rooms are around 500 square feet in size and have views of the Caribbean Sea. Deluxe Oceanfront can be configured with one king or two double beds if you’re traveling with up to four guests, while Deluxe Poolside rooms only have one king. The latter also opens up directly to the adults-only infinity pool.

Marina Suites & Sunset Suites: The standard suites are configured with one or two bedrooms, each of which has one bed. A large living room, dining room, and oceanfront balcony provide plenty of extra space. Sunset varieties have a jacuzzi tub on the balcony.

The Jimmy Buffett Suite: This 3,000+ square foot mega-suite has three bedrooms with enough space for six guests. Bonuses include a pool table in the living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a jacuzzi on the oversized balcony overlooking the sea.

One Particular Harbour Suites: This is a hotel-within-hotel concept, offering residential-style accommodations ranging in size from studio to four-bedroom villas. Each has extra home-like amenities, including kitchens and laundry. Besides the distinct accommodations, guests get a personal concierge to help plan everything, private special experiences, and butler services.

➞ Special Experiences

Guests of the One Particular Harbour Suites at Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau get access to some unique opportunities, so consider booking a residence there if they catch your eye. Some include candlelight dinners, sip, and paint experiences, and chartered ocean excursions from the harbor.

Kids and adventurous adults may want to try the FlowRider experience in the waterpark, and rather than the usual surfing, this one is all about boogie-boarding – which is a blast. There’s also a rock climbing wall that’s been a huge hit with the younger guests.

The frequently updated Event Calendar lists all kinds of other fun activities. Embark on a family scavenger hunt, or better yet, search to find Jimmy Buffett’s lost shaker of salt! Kids will find more activities at the Parakeets Kids Club, while adults can retreat to the St. Somewhere Spa for the day.
