What to do
Make your way downhill through a beautiful Mexican jungle to get to the lovely Garza Blanca Beach. Swim, lounge, or sample the catch of the day prepared right in front of you by local fishermen. Feeling adventurous? Schedule a kayaking tour or guided hike with the resort’s activity team – there’s no better way to experience the ocean and jungle!
Chill out in one of the infinity pools. Take your pick from the glamorous rooftop infinity pool or the quieter infinity pool with panoramic ocean views. In between your pool sessions, delight your taste buds with tequila and wine tastings. Or take the opportunity to learn something new in a tai chi, cooking, or mixology class.
Basketball tournaments are planned throughout the week or get some tennis or pickleball in with racquets and balls available at the resort.
Check out the jazz and farmer’s market night on Friday evenings. A live jazz band plays catchy tunes while you stroll through a quaint farmer’s market of local vendors. You never know what’ll catch your eye!
What to eat
While maybe not as expansive or varied as other resorts, the Hotel Mousai dining options leave little to be desired. Three specialty restaurants and three bars all serve gourmet plates of food and a delicious assortment of drinks.
Tucked away in the middle of the lush jungle is The Terrace, serving light and fresh breakfast dishes. You’d be missing out if you didn’t visit Hiroshi, the Japanese restaurant. The menu includes a wide and delicious range of Japanese cuisine: sashimi, sushi rolls, tempura, yakitori, and more!
The elegant Bocados Steakhouse provides a romantic atmosphere with tiki torch lined windows and breathtaking ocean views. Here you can indulge in juicy steaks and grilled chicken paired with crisp salads and shareable plates. You’ll need to ditch the flip flops for this one though, since formal attire is required.
The kind of bar you only think exists in movies, the Rooftop Bar is the resort’s hot spot. The city lights twinkle in the distance while live music and daring acrobatic performances accompany your night of mingling and drinking.
In addition to the flashy rooftop bar, you can also stop for drinks at the sophisticated lobby bar or the more casual Aquazul snack bar.
