What’s Special About This Resort
It’s not easy to find a great resort in Orlando on a budget at first glance, but the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites makes it very possible. It’s just minutes down the road from the Disney parks, has a free shuttle to Epcot, and has quick access to other places like Universal and SeaWorld.
There’s plenty to do at the resort itself, including a large waterpark complex with slides, a zero-entry pool, and a water tower. If you’d rather stay dry, there’s a 9-hole mini-golf course and all kinds of entertainment offerings.
With spacious suites for all accommodations, plus many great dining options, you’d never guess that this resort is one of the most affordable in Orlando when considering all that you get.
While the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites is not a fully all-inclusive resort, it does offer a dining package that includes both breakfast and dinner. You can then plan to have lunch in the parks or while at the waterpark.

➞ What to Do
Since this place does advertise it in its full name, be sure to check out the waterpark at the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites, as it is one of the top benefits of staying here. In the center of the buildings is a four-story water tower topped with a giant dump bucket and intertwined with slides. There’s also a zero-entry lagoon pool and plenty of places to kick back and relax beside it.
On the dry side, you have a 9-hole mini-golf course, a playground, and outdoor basketball courts. Rainy days or post-adventure evenings call for some time in the arcade or movie theater.
You can easily hop on the free shuttle to Walt Disney World’s Epcot for a ride in the giant golf ball or a tour around the world in its mini-nation sections. Hollywood Studios is equally close, and Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom aren’t more than a few extra minutes away. The Disney water parks, Universal Studios parks, and other Orlando-area fun are easily accessible as well.
Adults who want to enjoy some golf don’t have to go very far, with a course just across the street. Shopping and spa days are equally easy to find, especially with the many other resorts in the area.
➞ What to Eat & Drink
There are five restaurants to choose from at the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites. The day starts with a buffet breakfast at Lakeside Café, which is only open in the morning.
All of the main restaurants are open for both lunch and dinner. Antonio’s Pizzeria is your spot for hand-tossed pizzas fired in front of you, Burger Theory is the place for tasty favorites out by the lagoon pool, and Sombrero’s Cantina serves the delectable Mexican cuisine that you must try in Florida.
The best spot for dessert is Hershey’s Ice Cream, which has 24 flavors to choose from. Finally, the Lagoon Bar is where parents and kids alike can order drinks to cool off in between swimming.
➞ Room Guide
With 777 rooms, the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites is a large resort, and possibly one of the largest Holiday Inn’s we’ve seen. Rooms are bigger here as well, as the minimum you can get is a one-bedroom suite with a separate living room. There are some interesting variations of each suite that are appropriate for different families.
One-Bedroom Suites: These rooms count 485 square feet of space and come with one king bed, along with the living room’s sofa bed, accommodating up to four guests. You can choose a variation with or without a small kitchen that includes a dining island, full fridge, and microwave.
Two-Bedroom Suites: There are a few versions of these rooms. One has a setup with one bed plus a small bunk bed room, totaling the same square footage as the above. The other version has one queen bedroom and a full two twin-bed bedroom for those with older kids who need more space. All can accommodate up to six guests.
Three-Bedroom Suites: The largest rooms in the resort can accommodate up to eight guests with two king-bed bedrooms plus a small bunk bed room. Of course, there’s also the living room, and it adds up to almost a thousand square feet.
➞ Special Experiences
One unique activity at the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites is family movie night, which takes place in the on-site theater, complete with popcorn and all. Other fun entertainment includes karaoke, trivia competitions, and arcade tournaments.
This resort is also conveniently close to Gatorland, at less than 15 minutes away. Whether you’re a family with small kids, big kids, or no kids, it’s a ton of fun to see one of Florida’s most iconic animals up close at this Orlando theme park.
