There are nine restaurants plus room service to enjoy on the package, with top-shelf drinks and world-class entertainment. What to Do
Punta Cana is one of those places that many people visit to relax at their resort for their entire trip – and that’s not necessarily a bad idea. This coastline is known for its soft sand and blue water beaches, and the Hard Rock Resort has 13 pools to complement that – plus a ton more in the way of entertainment.
Hit the links at the Hard Rock Golf Club, or choose from many others nearby if you’re a big golfer. There’s also a mini-golf course, laser tag arena, bowling alley, and Flowrider experience to try.
That doesn’t mean there’s not plenty to discover nearby, though. Besides the numerous dreamy beaches you’ll find, the nature on this side of the island is magnificent. Visit the Indigenous Eyes Ecological Reserve to see and swim in crystal-clear lagoons, or simply take the hiking trails around them.
After your adventures, the Hard Rock is always prepared with live music and performances. It’s always fun to see if it’s your lucky day at the massive casino. When the night falls, Oro Nightclub comes alive with music, drinks, and party people.
What to Eat & Drink
With nine restaurants, bars, ice cream shops, and more, no one is going hungry at the Hard Rock. There’s a huge variety of dining and drinking here – we’ll summarize some of the favorites.
There are five fantastic breakfast restaurants to start your day in: The Market, Bistro Med, Ciao, Ipanema Brazilian House, and Stacked. Each of them continues service throughout the day for lunch and dinner, too.
Mediterranean and Lebanese cuisine is served at Bistro Med, while the flavors of Italy like pastas and sweet treats are the specialty at Ciao. Meat lovers will not want to miss the grilled delicacies at Ipanema Brazilian Steakhouse, nor the certified Angus burgers at Stacked. Don’t like all that meat? Don’t worry – Casa Verde has got you covered with its vegan comfort food specialties.
For an upgrade fee, you can also enjoy fine dining at Montserrat Manor, a modern American steakhouse concept that also has local fish and lobsters. The same goes for Youyu, a Hong Kong-inspired eatery serving Asia-Pacific specialties.
Room Guide
The resort categorizes its rooms as Suites, Family Suites, and Presidential Suites, with several levels of differentiation within them. They have impressive configurations that are all luxurious and more than comfortable.
Suites: The Hard Rock calls all of its rooms suites because most of them truly do go above and beyond what you’d expect. These rooms are 781 square feet in size, with the exception of the Islander Junior Suite, which is 815 square feet. Rooms come with either a king-size bed or two doubles, and both options have sofa beds. Some have private jacuzzis, whether in the room or on the balcony, and all feature a separate sitting area down a few steps. The Caribbean Sand Suite can be upgraded to the new Rock Royalty Level, an exclusive club-like package with special amenities, gifts, and inclusions.
Family Suites: This room type is called the Rock Family One Bedroom Suite and consists of a king bed and two sofa beds in 1,715 square feet of space. A dining room, living room, and spacious terrace leave plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Fun amenities like a guitar and record player make the room more special than any old resort.
Presidential Suites: Available in one or two-bedroom versions, these are the most spacious resorts, consisting of 1,715 square feet and nearly 2,500 square feet of space, respectively. The space continues on large balconies complete with sun loungers and jacuzzi tubs. The decorations and furnishings inside are absolutely beautiful, and these rooms come with an all-day personal assistant to help you manage your stay and arrange for fun.
Special Experiences
As you might be able to imagine, there are a number of special experiences at this vast resort. Whether you’re traveling as a family with kids or as a couple in search of time together, you’ll find something to make your stay in Punta Cana awesome.
Try the new Awaken Your Senses Dining Experience for a very different type of dinner. It’s a multi-sensory performance incorporating video projection, an interactive touch table, scent synchronization, surround sound, and augmented reality with a gastronomic journey of curated dishes. It’s hard to describe, but one-of-a-kind and highly rated.
Kids and adults alike might like to try the Flowrider at the main pool. You may have seen this artificial wave-surfing technology on certain cruise ships, and the Hard Rock has its own. Buy a single-access or multi-entry pass to catch a wave and practice your balance.
More special experiences include laser tag, virtual reality games, and even an escape room. Of course, one of the most special experiences of all is relaxing by each of the pools – which you’ll surely make time for.
