What to Do
Cabo is a giant playground for water activities, golf, and most other outdoor fun under the year-round sun. To start, there is certainly no shortage of swimming pools at the resort, all temperature-controlled, to lounge and relax at – be sure to build in time between your activities for that!
Golfers can take their pick of courses to try, with options like Cabo Real, El Dorado, and Chileno Bay just minutes away. The resort hosts a number of completely free sports, too, like pickleball, water and beach volleyball, croquet, and horseshoes on-property.
There are miles of golden-sand beach in the resort’s backyard and all around the area. Rocky coves and secluded spots make for unique beach experiences that this part of the world is known for. The resort hosts a twice-daily electric bike beach tour, where a guide will show you the best of the coast while you effortlessly pedal in the sand.
Diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding are all popular ways to get in the water here, and sportfishing for monsters like marlin is one of the activities that made this destination famous. On land, you can hike to places like Mount Solmar and Cabo San Lucas’ famous arch. After all of that adventure, you might consider decompressing at the resort’s world-class spa.
What to Eat & Drink
Garza Blanca takes great dining seriously, and exceptional flavors and ambiance are both evident at this Cabo resort. There are four restaurants and two bars that are all part of the all-inclusive package or available on standard stays.
Blanca Blue is where the expansive breakfast buffet is laid out, which stays open all the way until noon – great for sleeping in! At lunchtime, guests can choose between one of the casual options: The Snack, serving Mexican and American favorites poolside; Food Truck, serving seafood raw bites on the beach; or The Rooftop, an adults-only haven beside the rooftop infinity pool serving more Mexican-American classics and exceptional margaritas.
A whole host of new options are available for dinner. The Rooftop continues its service but opens to guests of all ages in the evening. Blanca Blue reopens à-la-carte style with innovative Mexican dishes made with a modern flair. Bocados is a modern steakhouse with ocean views that serves some of the best cuts of meat in Baja, but also spectacular vegetarian and vegan specialties. Finally, Hiroshi is a spot to get off the continent and try Japanese favorites, including sushi, that have been twisted with Mexican styles.
You can get a cerveza, cocktail, margarita, or tequila shot just about anywhere around the resort. If you’re too happy in your suite, 24-hour room service is offered, too.
Room Guide
Part of the luxury experience Garza Blanca offers is larger than average room size, as well as chic design and decor. Entry-level hotel rooms are called Junior Suites, One and Two-Bedroom Suites add extra space, and Residence rooms are the biggest and most extravagant of all.
Junior Suites: These hotel rooms have one king or two queen-sized beds and about 667 square feet of space. It opens to a large balcony with resort or ocean views, complete with a hanging hammock to enjoy it.
One and Two-Bedroom Suites: At 1313 and 1980 square feet, respectively, these large suites are perfect for families or groups staying together; couples who want to spread out during their stay will be pleased with these as well. They can host up to four or six guests and have two or three bathrooms, plus gorgeous living spaces and kitchens.
Residences: With three or four bedrooms, these rooms really only make sense for families and groups who need them all. However, the Residences are the most luxurious of all, with high-floor panoramic ocean views and huge furnished terraces. Some have ocean-facing jacuzzis, and all are beautifully outfitted with the finest touches.
Special Experiences
Couples on a romantic getaway might like to take their evening up a notch with a private beach dinner. Staff will set up a table on the sand, under string lights and surrounded by candles, where there’s nothing but you, sunset, and the waves. Four courses of the finest menu items will be served to you in privacy.
In fact, if you really love the food from one of the restaurants, you can get more hands-on with it at one of the foodie culinary workshops held several times per week. The Chef Patrons of each of the three signature restaurants – Bocados, Blanca Blue, and Hiroshi – show guests how to prepare one of the menu’s top dishes. It’s great fun, a new recipe to bring home, and a tasty snack.
Parents can take advantage of one of the resort’s dancing lessons or yoga classes while the kids are off doing all kinds of great things at the kids club: seashell hunting, sandcastle building, dreamcatcher making, and much more. The whole family can play together at the resort with games like croquet, bocce ball, pickleball, cornhole, and more.
