The 13 Best All-Inclusive Resorts in Cabo in 2025

Ever wish you could escape the routines of daily life and jet off to a sunny beach somewhere? We know just the place for you…an all-inclusive resort in Cabo San Lucas! This charming city on the southern end of the Baja Peninsula has a lot more to offer than sunny beaches (though it definitely has plenty of those, too!).

You might have heard of Cabo San Lucas and you’d probably recognize the iconic Land’s End stone formations or the Arch of Cabo San Lucas. While those famous landmarks are certainly worth seeing in person, there are many more reasons why you should visit.

Go on exciting underwater adventures and explore the Pacific Ocean through a scuba mask. Cabo San Lucas has some of the most incredible spots for scuba diving and snorkeling.

The Baja Desert contributes to the warm and balmy weather along the coast, but did you know that it also hosts amazing biodiversity? There are plenty of ways to explore its incredible terrain, from Jeep Safaris to horseback riding.

It might be hard to believe that adjacent to that desert is a lively city that boasts the best of Mexican culture, gastronomy, and shopping. You’ll want to carve some time out from your trip to take a stroll through the vibrant streets of Downtown Cabo San Lucas.

Once a place exclusive to celebrities and other high-profile individuals, Cabo San Lucas is now a much more accessible destination for any traveler. A wide range of all-inclusive resorts makes it even more affordable and convenient to stay.

If you’re looking for the best all-inclusive resorts in Cabo San Lucas, whether it’s an adults only or family friendly, you’ve come to the right place. This guide will cover everything you need to know about the area’s most popular resorts.

A Brief History of Cabo San Lucas

Beautiful beaches dotted with palapas, the Land’s End Stone formations, twinkling city skylights, Lover’s Beach, and El Arco… these are all the classic landmarks you can expect to see on a Cabo San Lucas postcard. But this city along the Baja Peninsula also holds a rich history and culture that can’t be seen at first glance.

Long before it was the tourist destination it is today, Cabo San Lucas was originally inhabited by a Native American tribe. The Pericu people enjoyed the region’s desert landscapes and coastal scenery for many years before European explorers began to settle the land during the mid-sixteenth century.

After the Mexican-American war, the Baja Peninsula was conceded to Mexico. Cabo San Lucas first started to gain popularity as a wonderful little fishing spot. Before long, it became a sought-after tourist destination, with celebrities such as Bing Crosby and Lucille Ball paving the way for its recognition.

Things To Do Cabo San Lucas Arrow

Today, you don’t have to be a celebrity to visit this stunning seaside area. Travelers of all statuses and walks of life can find what they’re looking for among the many resorts and hotels and activities dotting the coast.

Feel Like Getting Out of the Resort?

The beauty of Cabo San Lucas is best experienced outside of the resort. Gorgeous beaches with prime spots for snorkeling and diving, a unique landscape with diverse wildlife, and a city reflecting a deep-seated Mexican culture are just waiting to be explored.

Consider dedicating a half or full day of your trip to a few excursions or guided tours. It’ll be worth your while!

  • Beaches

Hands down, the most popular beach in Cabo San Lucas is Lover’s Beach, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez, and looming towers of rock surround a golden stretch of beach. Just off the beach are the iconic Land’s End stone formations and Arch of Cabo San Lucas.

Aside from swimming in the calm blue waters, Lover’s Beach is also a great spot for kayaking, paddle boarding, and scuba diving. Getting there requires a short boat ride from Medano Beach. Make sure to pack lots of water, sunscreen, and your bento box for a picnic on this romantic beach.

Unfortunately, the choppy waters and strong undertow make many of the beaches in Cabo San Lucas too dangerous for swimming, though you can still surf! There are still a few swimmable beaches you can enjoy. Some of these include Medano Beach, Solmar Beach, Playa Chileno, and Costa Azul Beach.

Things To Do Cabo San Lucas Beaches

Wherever you choose to go, don’t forget to bring a good pair of water shoes or flip flops. The sand can get unbearably hot under the Mexican sun.

  • Scuba Diving and Snorkeling

Let’s circle back to Lover’s Beach for a moment, because it has some of the most unique dive sites in Mexico! Dive underneath and through The Arch, swim with barracuda and tuna near Land’s End, and discover the recently discovered shipwreck of “Lundenburg”.

Also part of any Land’s End diving experience is a rock formation known as Neptune’s Finger. Colorful flora and fauna are beautiful but aren’t what make this dive site so special. You’ll witness the unique phenomena of underwater sand falls, where sand flows down a cliff similar to a waterfall.

If you’re a beginner diver, the North Wall is the perfect dive spot to start and still offers a spectacular display of marine life like eels, puffer fish, and devil rays. You can also check out our scuba diving guide for helpful information to know before you venture out into the water.

Experienced divers and thrill seekers should head to Gordo Banks for a chance to dive with hammerhead sharks and giant manta rays. Located about ten miles offshore from San Jose Del Cabo, expect up to a 60 minute boat ride to get to this underwater mountain.

For those looking for adventure but not quite the adrenaline rush of swimming with sharks, The Sea of Cortez and Santa Maria Bay are popular spots for some easy-going snorkeling. You can expect to see colorful marine life and even swim among gentle sea lions.

  • Sierra La Laguna Biosphere Reserve

Travel about 35 miles north of Land’s End and you’ll find the rural town of Santiago. Orchards as far as your eye can see and working ranches set the scene for this quaint town that serves as a gateway to the Sierra La Laguna Biosphere Reserve

This protected biosphere is surrounded by the Sierra de la Laguna mountain range and hosts a wealth of diverse vegetation, wildlife, and unique landscape.

You can easily spend a full day exploring this magnificent terrain. Luckily, there are plenty of excursions and guided tours available. Take a ride on a Jeep Safari, go horseback or camelback riding, or rent some ATVs.
