Performance Design
The OG sunglasses by goodr perform substantially well. If running in Austin, Texas (a city where everyone runs outside and looks good at the same time) is what you are up to, you’ll be thoroughly impressed by the performance of the OG sunglasses.
The internal frame width of the sunglasses correlates to your head width and creates a “No Slip/No Bounce” effect. The internal bridge width makes proper contact with the nose pads on your nasal bones. The arms wrap around your ears, creating an intimate fit and no bounce.
The coating on the frame is a special grip-coating that eliminates slippage while sweating, running, moving, etc.
The lenses accompanying the OG sunglasses are polarized with UV 400 protection, which blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays. The OG Sunbathing with Wizards model is mirrored, creating even more glare resistance. So, the actual act of the sunglasses blocking the sun is satisfactory.
The only fault we found with the OG glasses is that sunlight can seep in from the sides. If you are used to a wraparound design, the light from the side might be uncomfortable at first. If you aren’t used to wearing goggle-like sunglasses, like the Pit Viper Slammers, you won’t notice what we are talking about.
Fit and Comfort
The OG’s by Goodr are so comfortable. “I would rather wear these sunglasses than any other sunglasses I own.”- quote from fancy mom. The glasses sit on the bridge of the nose with minimal discomfort due to their lightweight and snug fit around the ears.
On the bridge of the sunglasses, there are nose pads that distribute the weight evenly. The frames of the glasses do not rest on the cheeks. The arms of the sunglasses wrap around the ears to give a secure hold.
If you are unsure of the fit, goodr offers a virtual try-on.
Who Should Buy These
If you want to run and brag about running, these glasses aren’t for you. But, if you’re a casual runner who prides themselves on being cool, these are for you. Okay, but seriously, these are fantastic sunglasses to run in.
Even if you are not a runner, maybe you like biking, walking, or sitting by the pool; they are still an excellent sunglass option for you. The OG sunglasses are stylish, comfortable, and, most of all, affordable. These are your go-to sunglasses for anything; plus, people will compliment you on this trendy product.
Also, these glasses are polarized. So, that glare that bothers you so much from the water or a car windshield will be eliminated.
Quality Sunglass Materials
Goodr is a startup company by Stephen Lease and Ben Abell. Releasing their first sunglass models in 2015, by 2019, they sold 1 million units. The founders have sustained growth with a strong company culture and quality products.
The lenses are made of Tri Acetate Cellulose (TAC), which is polarized. The lenses on the OG sunglasses have an anti-scratch coating, UV 400 protection, and are 100% UVA and UVB blocking.
Even at the inexpensive prices they sell the sunglasses, the materials are solid. The OG frames are made of plastic with a soft touch coating that improves grip. All of the OG glasses have good coloring.
The only con we can find with the sunglass material is that the soft coating on the outside of the plastic frame can rub off over time. However, it rubs off in places like the nose pads or the arms, so it won’t affect the steezy look of the glasses. It also does not affect functionality.
Goodr releases a product warning due to the screws in the OG’s made with nickel. Nickel is linked by the U.S. to cause cancer. Other pairs of sunglasses use nickel, titanium, or stainless steel screws.
Just because these sunglasses are inexpensive doesn’t mean you should treat them poorly. Take care of your sunglasses by keeping them in their pouch and cleaning them with a soft linen cloth. If they get splashed by chlorine or salt water, wash them off with clean, fresh water.
Bonuses
Goodr sunglasses are backed by an excellent customer service team. If you damage your glasses, even if it’s not in the warranty parameters, there is a good chance they will help you out.
Each pair of Goodr sunglasses comes with a one-year warranty. The warranty is for factory manufacturing errors. They no longer offer scratch lens replacements, but their customer service is reliable, so reach out to them anyway if you are having a problem.
If you get your sunglasses and are unsatisfied (doubt you will be), goodr has a 30-day free return policy. Ensure the sunglasses’ condition is the same as when they arrived, which means unused if you need to use the return policy.
Goodr strives to be good for the environment; they claim to be 100% carbon neutral. This means that when you purchase sunglasses by goodr, no net carbon is added to the environment. Goodr achieves this through the purchase of carbon offsets, carbon reduction projects, and other efforts to protect the environment.
Great Value for the Price
Imagine spending under $30 on a quality pair of sunglasses. Well, wake up because the goodr OG’s are right in front of you. The low price doesn’t lack value; if anything, they could double the price, and people would still think it’s a great buy.
One can wear these goodr sunglasses for years… that means you spend pennies a day to rock these awesome OG sunglasses.

Frequently asked questions
Surprisingly, for the price, goodr sunglasses are quality products. They feel pleasing to the touch, fit great, and have TAC polarized lenses. It seems someone has a pair of goodr sunglasses on everywhere you go.
So, if you’re worried these glasses won’t live up to the hype because of the price or the startup or something. Know they are selling millions of units annually while receiving positive product feedback.
Goodr sunglasses can get wet. They are made out of plastic and TAC lenses. Goodr designs their sunglasses to be worked out in, so they are sweatproof, too.
If your sunglasses get wet in salt water, rinse them with fresh water afterward, as the screws are made with nickel.
UV coating does wear off over time. The expiration date varies, but if you wear your sunglasses every day for two years, it is probably time to replace them. Good thing goodr glasses are affordable enough to buy a couple pair every now and again.
