Where to buy BZ T-10 Bodyboard:
Bz T 10 Bodyboard Product

Imagine you recently moved to the coast and want to start bodyboarding. You find a BZ T-10 bodyboard at your local retailer; you’re unsure about spending $100 on a boogie board. The sales agent assures you. “Dude, trust me, this board will last for years, the quality is bangin’, and you’ll be able to shred the gnar like a pro in no time.”

You trust them, and one year later, you’re dropping in at The Wedge, knowing you and your T-10 bodyboard can perform.

The T-10 bodyboard is one of the most popular boards from the revolutionary high-performance boogie board company BZ. The creator, Bobby Szabad, was one of Tom Morey’s, the inventor of boogie boarding, original factory workers. After ten years of hard work for Morey, Bobby created the cutting-edge company BZ.

Shredding Capability & Ideal Wave Size

Bz T 10 Bodyboard Materials
T-10 specifications and materials sheet

The shredding capability of this board is limitless. But it also performs excellently for beginner riders. The boogie board design holds high-performance points, with an added RCS single stringer and a gripping 8lb Green cell deck.

Some professional riders may want an additional stringer or a different slick, but that is a preference at the end of the day. The BZ T-10 will not lack in performance regardless of your level.

The ideal wave size is any size. This bodyboard can catch waves a foot tall with no problems and confidently drop in on 20-foot waves. The sky is the limit. Surf beach or reef breaks with no issues.

The PE Core has enough buoyancy for small surf but enough recoil for heavy surf. Some may question the choice of polyethylene (PE) core over the pro (PP) core. But, if you’re surfing in cold water, the PE’s resilience and flex stay and will protect you from board snaps.

Who Should Ride this Board

Whatever your level, this boogie board will respond and enhance your riding abilities. Beginner riders will be able to ride prone in the whitewash repeatedly. The smallest waves can be a blast on the BZ T-10 due to the buoyancy of the PE core and crescent tail shape. So, that means a beginner rider can thrive on this bodyboard.

But beware beginner riders – there is no leash, so make sure to install one. On the flip side, the PE core and crescent tail also make surfing big waves at a high level possible. These two bodyboard components are a master of all.

To ensure pro riders are satisfied, an RCS Single Stringer gives the board extra pop and durability. The PE core is also the choice of many expert bodyboarders in cold water temperatures. So, pretty much, this bodyboard is for everyone, besides big tropical waves tackled by professionals. A pro’s first choice may be a board made with a polypropylene core and multiple stringers.

Quality, Performative Bodyboard Materials

BZ claims T-10’s unmatched performance since ‘88. After years of refining this bodyboard, BZ has made a quality boogie board that performs with a distinguished style.

Trust that BZ will deliver you a good product, as the T-10 has been thriving since 1988

The BZ T-10 is made with a polyethylene (PE) core. PE has good flex, recoil, resilience, and durability. This is the preferred cold-water bodyboard core material because it maintains its original properties and does not stiffen up.

For good reason, the PE core is the standard bodyboard industry core. This core material has been used for decades as it continues to endure heavy surf while still providing enough float for beginners.

The deck is 8lb Green Cell. This means that the deck provides extra grip and durability. This also means a little bit of weight. The BZ T-10 is on the heaviest side of bodyboard weight, clocking in at 7 lbs. Adding the 8lb Green Cell deck elevates the bodyboard’s lifespan and performance.

The T-10 has an HDPE Slick. The alternative is a more expensive and durable deck called Surlyn. BZ keeps the T-10 budget-friendly by using the reliable HDPE slick.

It is only necessary to upgrade slicks if you are deeply committed to the sport and shred so hard you casually snap boards like people crack their fingers. The HDPE slick will perform well for all level riders, including experts.

Performance-Oriented Board Shape

Bz T 10 Bodyboard Slant
The 60/40 rails featured on the T-10 bodyboard provide maneuverability and stability along with a good feel to grab

Rails on a bodyboard run along the sides of the board. 60/40 rails are used on the T-10 boogie board. This means 60% of the rail is above the water, while 40% slices through it. The 60/40 combination gives a nice balance between responsiveness to maneuvers and balance during riding.

Both beginner and pro riders benefit from the classic 60/40 rail setup. Regardless of your level, this rail setup thrives in all wave sizes.

Bz T 10 Bodyboard Tail
Comfortable crescent tail shape to ride while lying down and paddling

T-10’s tail shape sticks with the iconic clipped crescent tail shape. This tail shape is the most comfortable to ride on while lying down and the chosen tail of riders who like to stand up or ride drop-knee. So this means everyone will be well suited with a crescent tail shape.

Conveniently, the crescent tail contains shred power in all-size waves. BZ choosing the crescent tail shape on the T-10 did us all a favor.

The “clipped” crescent tail shape refers to this half-moon shape, with the corners clipped to have a little buffer room between the end of the moon shape and the rails to give a looser riding experience

The BZ T-10 comes with channels located on the slick. Channels provide extra control and mobility while riding the wave due to the water being redirected.

The channels made by BZ on the T-10 are custom-designed for maximum shreddability. Avoid buying a boogie board without channels, as good channels increase board performance tremendously.

The T-10 channels are wide and provide a lot of power while steering

There is not as much nose rocker on the T-10 as on a beginner board. Beginners can still ride waves on this board, but advanced riders will be the ones to benefit from the minimal nose rocker. This design promotes speed and less drag.

Additional Features & Specs

The T-10 would not be one of BZ’s most popular bodyboards without a stringer. The Responsive Composite (RCS) stingle stringer runs down the middle of the T-10, breathing life into a whole new realm of board capabilities.

The RCS stringer creates stiffness where and when it needs to be while at the same time promoting recoil and durability.

Something that is missing from the T10 is deck contours. Deck contours exist on boards like the Hubboard’s Houston PE and give the benefits of grip and comfort. However, the 8lb Green Cell deck does provide solid grip and comfort.

Bz T 10 Bodyboard Tip
There is no leash plug, but installing one or having a shop do the work is an easy process

This bodyboard does not come with a leash plug installed or a leash. It is a relatively simple process to install a leash plug yourself. But taking it to your local surf shop will also be a good move.

There is no leash because some expert bodyboarders prefer not to have a leash. Holding onto your boogie board your whole surf session is possible.

Quality Evaluation

BZ prides itself on high-performance and high-quality products. BZ was one of the first accredited bodyboard companies.

The founder, Bobby, worked for the original bodyboard company, Morey. After a few years as a factory worker and friend of Tom Morey, Bobby formed BZ to target expert riders willing to buy a nice product.

[videopress 7pv880V2 autoplay="true" loop="true" muted="true" controls="false" playsinline="true"]

The T-10 bodyboard is just another example of a quality product released by BZ. The T-10 is one of the most popular BZ boards due to its clean shape and quality materials.

When holding this boogie board, it feels like a product that was made with care. The T-10’s 8lb Green Cell deck, PE core, HDPE slick, and innovative design make for a quality boogie board.

Great Value for the Price

The initial $100 may seem steep if you are not a bodyboarder. But with all things considered, this is a steal. The BZ bodyboard will last years, and even with massive self-improvement, it would take a lot of work to grow out of this boogie board skills-wise.

So, if you do the math, the T-10 bodyboard will stretch your buck. And for a PE core, this board is appropriately priced.

If you’re looking to spend half the amount and never think you’ll be doing barrel rolls, check out South Bay’s Onda bodyboard or BPS’s Storm. But if you are serious about bodyboarding, you can’t get a better deal.

We highly recommend BZ’s T-10 bodyboard. It is one of BZ’s most popular boards; they are confident in its capabilities, the public is, and so are we. Whether you are a beginner rider or an expert, the T-10 holds something for you.

The PE core is a superb choice for cold water shredders or someone who wants to keep the budget down. T-10’s design, durability, and affordable price keep it a top seller. The T-10 has a long lifespan and can be your go to boogie board as you advance your skills.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right size boogie board?

One needs to consider a few things when choosing the right size boogie board. The primary consideration is your height. Bodyboards are meant to come up to around the belly button; however, varying a couple inches can be considered.

Getting a boogie board a bit taller than your belly button may be a good idea if you are a beginner. On the contrary, pro bodyboarders may choose to size down due to a quicker board response preference.

Is a heavier boogie board better?

A heavier boogie board is not necessarily better. The weight of the boogie board depends on the materials it is made with.

The heaviest bodyboard core material is polyethylene (PE). PE is the standard boogie board core material used since the beginning. It is a quality board material that performs excellently in cold water.

The lightest bodyboard core material is expanded polystyrene (EPS). EPS is typically a beginner-core material that is very buoyant.

Polypropylene (PP) is the highest-performing and most durable bodyboard core material. PP is in between EPS and PE in weight.

Other bodyboard features like stringers also affect the weight and the performance.  Stringers make boards heavier but perform better. Other materials like the deck and slick will adjust the board’s weight.

How do you not slip off a bodyboard?

Bodyboarders use surf wax to not slip off a bodyboard. The top decks are usually polyethylene, cross-linked polyethylene, or a specialty deck like T8C or 8lb Green Cell; all are slippery in the water.

Purchase surf wax suited for the water temperature you are riding in. Choose from warm water wax, cold water wax, and some options in between. Apply surf wax before each water session to stay on your board and perform well.
