Relatively speaking, the Steiner Safari Ultrasharp 10×26 has a far better field of view than many compact binoculars. A field of view of 309’ at 1,000 yds., together with a 10x magnification, helps you see more details from a distance.
Another signature Steiner feature of these binoculars is their Makrolon housing. This chassis is made of durable polycarbonate and further reinforced with NBR Long-Life rubber armoring, enabling your binoculars to withstand 11 Gs of impact. Essentially, they won’t easily break in case you drop them accidentally.
Moreover, the Steiner Safari Ultrasharp 10×26 is water-resistant and fog-proof. You can use them in almost all environments, even wet and cold conditions.
Some people have found that these binoculars are a little wobbly, given the combination of high magnification and lightweight chassis. That’s a challenge to be expected with any 10x binocular unless it’s a model with stabilization, like the Canon IS 3.
