Affordable, Spacious, Many Pockets
Where to buy WATERFLY Crossbody Sling Bag:
waterfly-sling-product-image

The Waterfly Sling Bag is a product that represents a lot of what this type of crossbody pack can do. With lighter loads, we forgot we had it on. And with 4 zippered pockets–including some smart inner features–this bag makes a good candidate for the organization-savvy individual. This is, in fact, a good sling bag for women.

18 liters of capacity makes it a reasonable daypack for a hike or roaming the urban jungle. But it seems more like only 15 liters for some reason.

The main compartment can comfortably fit your iPad, a couple of notebooks, and a few more essentials, while the smaller compartments can store your more compact items like a power bank, granola bar, etc.

There is a mesh pocket on the side of the pack for carrying a water bottle and a novel, zippered umbrella holster on the bottom.

You are bound to get plenty of use out of it during hot summer days of running errands.

A Crossbody Utility Bag

Waterfly is a popular, discount brand of packs. This particular crossbody sling bag has quite a bit of usefulness. Camping, going out and biking are among the activities for which we tested this large sling bag. For biking, it works like a messenger bag, for example.

Our testers have been using it for over a year. It’s a bag that demands a bit of familiarity to take advantage of the organization-focused design features. On more than one occasion, one of our testers was frustrated by constantly putting a small item in the wrong pocket. She got used to it, though. So much so that we think this is a great sling bag option for women.

Its 18-liter capacity seems much closer to 15, but the organizational potential for smaller items plus a tablet makes up for any disappointment.

The multiple pockets are among the best things about the Waterfly’s Sling Pack. It is designed to simplify your everyday life, allowing you to bring all your essentials while keeping them organized.

This sling bag features multiple compartments in various sizes. The main and largest pocket is spacious enough to hold a tablet measuring up to 9.7”. Moreover, it can fit a few books.

Numerous internal pockets are suitable for tiny valuables, such as cosmetics, passports, and wallets. The Waterfly Sling Pack Crossbody Backpack also has a compartment that can separate your headphones or cables from the rest of your stuff.

Meanwhile, the strap and back portion has small compartments. These pockets are designed for small and medium-sized smartphones. You may also use these strap pockets to store cards you need to access quickly.

This everyday bag also features a water bottle pocket on the side. It is ideal for a reusable water bottle with a mouth diameter of 3” or less.

You will find a zippered mesh pocket on the very bottom of the Waterfly Crossbody Backpack. It is intended for wet items, helping you separate wet stuff from dry ones. Further, it is ventilated to prevent odor buildup. It’s got loops specifically for a compact umbrella but it can also be handy for some wet clothes.

Another extra feature of this sling bag is the key hanging buckle. It is a place for you to hang your keys properly.

The strap is adjustable. You can wear it on either your left or right side. Also, you may wear it across your back or chest.

Accommodating most people of any height or build, the strap adjusts between 25.9” and 46.5”. On the other hand, this Crossbody sling has a decently padded back panel.

This Waterfly bag is made of 100% nylon on the outside. Don’t expect it to withstand a heavy downpour without absorbing and taking in a bit of water. The interior has a polyester lining, which does help.

This crossbody bag is available in different colors. It works for everyone— men and women.

Size

What makes this bag an excellent companion for everyday life is its size. It is not that huge, and it is also not that small. At the same time, it is not that heavy.

Waterfly Crossbody Sling Bag Size

The Waterfly Sling Pack Crossbody Backpack has the right size for a full day at Disneyland or any amusement park. You can also take it hiking or biking. After all, it will not bother you because of its crossbody orientation.

However, this one isn’t the best choice if you need a sling bag that you can use mainly for school or backpacking. It is roomy for many things, but not for bigger items. Check out the Red Rock Outdoor Gear Rover Sling Pack instead.

Functionality

Despite being small, this sling bag can carry most, if not all, of your daily essentials. Thanks to the dedicated water bottle pocket, you can bring your drinkware. The availability of various pockets makes it so easy to organize your stuff.

The Waterfly Sling Pack Crossbody Backpack has a clip designed for your keys, so you never have to misplace them inside your bag. This innovative feature makes it virtually impossible to lose your car or house keys.

Waterfly Crossbody Sling Bag Functionality

The strap pocket is also a genius idea. Even if your smartphone is too huge to fit in that tiny strap sleeve, you can use it for your card, ID, or any item you need to access in a second.

You will find the bottom pocket very useful when bringing an umbrella. This mesh sleeve on the bottom is ventilated enough to let air circulate well and items dry. So, you can keep a small wet towel or umbrella inside it for a few hours.

Not all tiny sling bags can fit an iPad or any tablet. The Waterfly Sling Pack Crossbody Backpack is one of the very few which sets it apart from many competitors. Not only does a 9.7” tablet fit well, but it also slides in and out easily.

Another good thing about all these pockets is their depth. They are deep enough to prevent your stuff from falling. So don’t worry, even if you unzip one of the compartments when the sling is swinging around.

Comfort

The strap is wide and padded enough to keep you comfortable all day. It can also be unclipped from one side and clipped on the reverse so you can switch shoulders. It is also easy to use, so you can keep adjusting it until it fits right and doesn’t slip off.

Be mindful not to overstuff this sling bag. It’s not really intended to carry too much weight. Daypacks are alternatives worth looking at when the need is greater than a sling bag can carry.

Waterfly Crossbody Sling Bag Comfort

The padding has one minor issue, mainly if it’s too humid outdoors or wherever you live. It can get too warm against your body, causing you to sweat as the Waterfly Sling Pack Crossbody Backpack hugs your body.

Style

This sling bag is simple and sleek. It doesn’t draw attention at first glance, but it doesn’t look awful.

Moreover, this crossbody bag works for all adults and doesn’t cater to a particular gender. By asking everyone and anyone, it seems to appeal more to females and it does have a purse like quality to it the way it hangs.

The Waterfly Sling Pack Crossbody Backpack also comes in many colors. So, at least one variation will speak to your taste or personal style.

Durability

The construction seems pretty solid. The fabric looks well-made and does the price point justice. When stressed, the seams seem to hold up without any splaying.

The zippers glide smoothly enough. In a year of intermittent testing, none has failed or gotten stuck.

The reality is, it must be said, that this will likely not survive a lot of abuse. But given the price, there’s quite a bit of value on the durability front.

Conclusion

There are many reasons why this sling pack is one of the best-selling models today. It’s not that expensive and it is highly functional and versatile.

With pockets of various sizes and durable zippers, this sling bag lets you organize and keep your stuff secure all day. It is water-resistant, so you can go on any ride at Disneyland without worrying about your things getting wet.

Speaking of Disneyland, the Waterfly Sling Pack Crossbody Backpack isn’t only suitable for days spent at amusement parks. You can go biking and trekking with it. It is also an excellent choice for watching your kid’s soccer game or attending a music festival. Overall, it’s comfortable enough to carry on a packed day.
