Archies Flip Flops– Supportive Sandals
For all those times you do chores, and no one supports you, the Archies flip-flops and slides have your back. Literally, they are helping your back feel better—the orthotic support aids in whole-body alignment.
Physical therapists designed Archies Arch Support Slides. They are an excellent choice for people with Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. If you don’t have these conditions but love comfortable shoes, Archies flip flops and sandals will not disappoint.
The comfort of these Archies slides is something that stands out by comparison (more below). The 2.2cm arch support feels good on someone with high arches or a flat foot. So we get it– these slides are comfortable, but what are they suitable for?
The Archies Supportive Slides– What They Are Like IRL
People love to wear slides to and fro and during casual activities. For example, the Archies Arch Supportive Slides thrive during errands like grocery stores or laundry mats. The Archies slides are our top choice for any place you are standing or strolling.
Compared to Krocs, for example, the foot support is noticeably better. Walking around inside, in the backyard or on a casual stroll, Slides feel almost custom-made.
Even if you can’t get into the snug sandals culture, these waterproof slides will be helpful at public showers and the pool. Another good time to choose sandals when flip flops don’t cut it is in the winter when socks are needed—scoot around with socks and slides. But, these Archies slides won’t slip, as the non-slip grip does well on wet surfaces.
If your adventure goes off-trail, we don’t recommend the Arch Supportive Slides, as sand and dirt might slip in. That’s not specific to Slides as much as to sandals, generally. Also, the tread pattern isn’t suitable for uneven terrain. If you want an adventurous flip-flop, look towards the Astral Filipe/Rosa flip-flops.
Other minor notes about these slides’ performance concern the breathability and material. You will notice sweating in these sandals if you are prone to foot sweating–standard for any non-leather sandal.
Also, on your first few days of usage, you might develop some skin tenderness from the material rubbing against your foot, but this discomfort disappears.
For sizing: These slides only come in whole sizes. Archies recommends sizing up to the nearest whole size if you usually wear a half size. Our gear testers normally wear W9 and M9 and found the shoes to fit well, but after looking at how the shoes fit their feet, it makes sense to size up if you wear a half-size.
Materials: One Piece Construction
These Archies Flip Flops are made as one piece. Archies claim the one-piece construction promotes the sandals’ longevity. In this way, the sandal strap and footbed are made for ultimate durability. After we have spent hours in these sandals, it is obvious it will take a lot of effort to damage them.
Something else evident is how they retain their sheen and don’t show signs of wear and tear.
The material is EVA Closed-Cell Foam, which was chosen due to its custom foot molding ability. When you wear Archies Support Slides, they morph to your foot and become even more comfortable over time.
EVA is used in other footwear, like the Teva Mush Flip Flops, for the memory foam effect. However, Teva’s flip flops are not waterproof like Archies’ flip flops and sandals.
Value You Can Determine With No Risk
The value of these Archies slides is definitely on the higher side. The price may seem high, at around $50-60, but Archies is confident you’ll love the slides they give consumers a 60-day test.
If you don’t love Archies flip flops or slides after a couple of months, you can return them with a full refund. You can decide if the value is worth the investment.
But, if the price is still unfathomable, check out the more affordable Teva Mush II Women’s Flip Flops.
Conclusion– Comfort Guaranteed
The Archies flip flops and slides offer unmatched comfort compared to the rest of the market. Thanks to the one-piece construction with durable EVA, these cozy sandals will last a long time and make your feet happy doing it.
If you are looking for comfy sandals to run errands in, waterproof pool slides, or just something enjoyable to wear with socks, the Archies Arch Support Slides should be a heavy contender.
They cost more than Crocs, but deliver more in terms of comfort and, subjectively, style, too.
However, one thing prevents these sandals from winning best flip flop. They’re not ideal for excursions that require venturing into the wilderness. They do not do well on uneven surfaces or in slippery places.
For what they do and where they do it, they are the best at comfort.
